New Love Later in Life

Time just keeps marching on, and you never know what might turn up as you get older. Relationships that were thought to be solid as a rock, fall apart later in life, leaving you wondering, what happened?

The couples that seemed to be the happiest longstanding relationships, the envy of all who beheld them, dissolve in a burning flame of chaotic dissolution and/or sudden abandonment, leaving one (or both) of them seeking companionship or new love later in life.

As you might imagine, there might be a lot of second-guessing and trepidation about looking for love when you’re feeling like you’re well past what might have felt like the prime years of your life.

Then, there’s the loss of trust. You may have been with someone whom you’ve trusted for a very long time, only to find that he or she was not in integrity or as trustworthy as you may have believed.

Finding someone you can trust again can be a daunting task, to say the least.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, there is always ample opportunity to delve into your own personal deep inner work, and nothing primes the pump better than an unexpected loss of a loved one.

This is a time for introspection and personal growth for you, as well as an incredible opportunity to embrace all the best parts of you, your unique gifts, special abilities, all the freedom to think, say, and do all the things that are dear to your heart and bring you joy.

And while you’re pursuing all the best things in life, of course, you have one eye open, as you are keeping open, honest, and vulnerable enough to let love in, if given the opportunity. That elusive, perfect match for you, is still out there in the wings.

No matter how advanced in age you might be, you know the opportunity for true love is there because we all know of couples who are finding love and marrying in their later years.

True love is out there seeking to embrace you if you are not blocking it from revealing the love which is waiting for you.

Seek first to find great love for yourself, the person you are and do the things which keep you in a state of happiness, loving yourself, and those around you. Remaining in a state of love and joy will help you be in the right vibration to attract the right person for you.

Have a good idea of what the right person might look like. Imagine what type of person he or she might be who might be perfectly matched for you. Have fun and think of the hair or eye color which appeals to you most. Will he or she be tall? What kind of body type might he or she possess?

What will he or she smell like? What kind of family might he or she have? Where might this lucky person live?

The more you imagine and ponder the idea of this person, without becoming overwhelmingly obsessed, the more you attract him or her to you.

Love does not appear in a vacuum, so you’re going to have to be finding ways to enjoy life and express yourself in ways that get you out into the community where he or she can find you doing the things you love and caring for yourself enthusiastically.

A love and relationship coach can help you address any blocks and triggers that you might have in the search for love in your later years, as well as offering the support you might need to be open and willing to allow love into your life again.

The greatest love you have ever imagined wants to reveal itself to you, and it is not far off, but you’re going to have to be on your best game yourself if you’re going to be a perfect match for your best love ever.

Stay true to yourself, the course of your life, and finding ways to have fun. Let go of those things that prevent you from loving and true love will come to you, no matter how old you are.

See you at the Soulmate Wizardry event.

Feeling Old? Best Time to Get Started

A growing segment in the people that I am working with these days are the folks which many of you would refer to as the elderly, while every year, these people are looking more and more like my peeps, my classmates, and cronies. Many of them are inspiring me to no end and may have no idea they are mentoring me into increased longevity and quality of life.

The trend that I am seeing (I am unaware of the national statistics on this) is that more older adults are tapping into their inner beings, uncovering their gifts, talents, and special abilities as they embrace their purpose, message, passion, and mission (and here’s the most interesting part) they are monetizing it, as they fulfill their life’s work.

Whoa, that’s why I say, “It’s never too late.” Like many other older people who grabbed their brass rings in their golden years, nothing could stand between them and their desire to live a better life. These people don’t just slip away into retirement. They will never retire. They will continue benevolently giving and extracting the best this life has to offer until they’ve breathed their last breath. And if you ask them, many will insist that their work will survive long after they’ve left.

The Internet is providing for these people an incredible ability to grow their ideas exponentially at unimaginable speed, allowing them to quickly disseminate their message, and self-monetize their own ministries or businesses, with little or no start-up cash. This is leveling the playing field, allowing normal people, like you and me, to enter the global marketplace. Never before have the opportunities been so vast, with such a low cost of entry.

Many are excited about being able to create a legacy, to leave something behind for their children, finance college educations, brighter futures for future generations, and make a contribution to the community of the world. Something that seemed unreachable or impossible only a few years ago is now within their grasp.

While other seniors are relaxing, riding around in golf carts, going on group tours, and watching television programs, these older superheroes are saddling up to do the greatest work of their lives. They’re starting businesses, organizations, movements, and supplementing their income, continuing to expand and improve their lives along the way.

Having a life full of wisdom and experience to draw upon, gives these people an edge over privileged youngsters who are the inheritors of prosperity and opportunity, and in many cases, this new trend is closing the gap between youth and the aged, as we are seeing the world begin to change. It’s starting to look a little more like the days of yore when youth respected and revered the wisdom of their elders.

I look up to and admire these senior citizens who aren’t sliding away into retirement and basically waiting for the end to come. No, these folks are playing out their years full on, and guess what? They report having better health, wellness, and happiness, as well as the increased financial support from their efforts. They have a powerful reason to get up every morning, seize the day, and feel good about their contributions.

They have not ceased to learn how to embrace these emerging technologies, they are uncovering their skills and honing them every day. They are the late-blooming Jedi Masters. And they’re doing a great deal of this from the comfort of their homes with very little overhead; it’s absolutely amazing.

I am also impressed at how these advanced parents are able to invite their families to participate in their enterprises. In an age when families are highly dysfunctional and disintegrating rapidly, a family business can help reunite and cement the family relationship, which may have been passé not long ago.

Stronger seniors, stronger families, stronger youth, with greater independence, opportunity, prosperity, and fulfillment.

If you’re younger, it might be time to have a talk with your parents, or grandparents, about what they might like to do with their lives. May you can help empower them to get from where they are to where they’d like to be and see their dreams come true.

If you’re steadily advancing in age, maybe now is the time to take action and start this new, most exciting, chapter of your life.

It’s never too late.

And for those of you who are doing it, and giving it all you’ve got: Thank you.

You are my heroes, my inspiration.

I love you guys.

The Best Things in Life are Worth Waiting for

They say the best things in life are worth waiting for, and they usually follow up with examples of wine, especially red wines get more spectacular tasting and oxidant-rich with age, as is the case with whiskey which becomes smoother also. Then there is the cheese when aged to perfection has increased levels of vitamins and probiotics. More foods that are enhanced by age include tea, balsamic vinegar and pickles.

Other things get more valuable with age, like our homes and alternative investments (even if we were unable to preserve them through tough times, they do – or have – increased in value over time). Antiques also continue to rise in value over time.

love gets better with age the best is yet to come

Then there is YOU

Yes, you. As you continue to age you get so much better in so many ways. While some of the things that you once took for granted in your youth may be fading away, the you that is emerging, like the butterfly from the cocoon, is a much grander version of you than ever existed before.

In fact, the things you were greatly concerned about in your youth are increasingly less important. Things like being selfishly obsessed with your body image (you are getting more comfortable with the idea that there is no need to maintain your high school appearance), your smile and countenance take on a new sparkle accented by lines chronicling a life well-lived as you embrace the comfort and wisdom of your years.

Your new, more seasoned and transformed self begins to materialize as friendships strengthen and family bonds become cemented. The concerns of your youth fade as you become more tolerant and empathetic as your perception shifts and you see more and more from a wider and wiser perspective.

You are more able to embrace a peaceful state of mind and enjoy less stress because you are more likely to forgive than hold a grudge or judge someone else. Now you have come to the understanding that we’re all just doing the best we can with what we have. In fact, most negative emotions are falling by the wayside as you continue to see the folly of holding tightly to such things in your youth.

As you embrace this new heightened sense of awareness, you realize your expertise achieving new heights as many of the tasks that took thought and concentration can now be performed with unconscious competence or simple muscle memory.

Your ability to make sound decisions are growing and you find it easier to maintain balance in all things such as your work and play while adding greater value to the community at large. Now you can enjoy greater degrees of happiness than you might have ever allowed yourself to enjoy before.

And while technology enables you to enjoy all these things even more,

The Greatest of These is Love

You have a greater capacity for love, to love and be loved. Appreciation, acceptance, and love of yourself flow outward to family, friends, mankind, fauna, flora, the earth, and your beloved.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for you and me – and those, like us – who are in search of that perfect person with whom to grow old and enjoy these golden years in each other’s presence.

I look forward to this next incarnation of love to be my highest and best experience, though finding my soul mate can be a daunting, time-consuming task, I gladly accept the challenge in an effort to taste the subtle, flavorful nuances of its fruit when the time is right.

If all the best things in life take time, this appears to be taking the most time of all things that have gone before, and so worth the wait. Because the best life is awaiting us, and we both know that rushing this most important decision – about whom we will spend the rest of our life with – may well be the greatest decision of all.

For it is not just our lives we take into consideration, but the lives of our families and being able to better serve our communities for a better world to come throughout the remainder of our lives.

So much anticipatory love, while I remain to await your appearance with open arms because you are worth waiting for, my love.
