What You Do Today Determines Who You Will Be

You are the most powerful person in your world today. What you do today determines who you will be. Your choices today have a huge impact on your future. You are creating the path of your life based on your thoughts, the words you speak, and what you do.

What You Do Today Determines Who You Will Be

Gandhi
Gandhi

You already know the best predictor of future events is what happened in the past. What happened today has the greatest, most relevant, impact on what lies ahead, because it could shift the entire future. As Gandhi has said, “The future depends on what you do today.”

What You Think, Say, and Do

Your thoughts are so powerful, they are what you spend most of your waking hours doing, and their effect on your life is immeasurable. Largely, the world influences what you spend your waking hours thinking about.

Change Your Thinking

Consider this; if you could change what you think about, you can change your life for the better.

This is the most impactful action you can take is to start at the biological root of your life’s energy systems. The more attention you pay to your thoughts, you can take action to immediately (or as soon as possible) choose a new thought, replacing a negative thought with something very positive.

Change Your Words

Your words are an expression of your thoughts that run so deep. Your thoughts are based on impulses you are exposed to every moment of every day and hugely influenced by every moment you have lived to now.

The words you speak are very powerful, and your voice box is the doorway to your heart. A negative thought influences your biology and your life greatly but speaking of the negativity opens the pathway to your heart, where it can affect your entire being and the life that surrounds you.

Making a conscious effort to guard your words, consciously deciding what words you will speak, will change your life accordingly. Talk about the good things you want in life and do not dwell (think too much) about the negative things in life, those things over which you have no control.

Change What You Do

When you take any action on something you think about or based on some influential ideology, whatever you do takes time. Time is a good measurement of all things. If you are doing anything that is not in alignment with the future that you desire for yourself, you will be miles ahead in having the life you want by finding ways to spend less time doing the things that do not serve the future you would like to see for yourself (possibly eliminating them altogether if you can) and doing more of the things (ideally only the things) that will direct your path to live a better life, your best life, and make the world a better place.

Today, what you think, what you say, what you do, determines who you are tomorrow. The good news is, today is a new day.

How You Do It

T. Harve Eker

It’s not only about what you do, but also about how you do a thing. T. Harv Eker has coined the phrase, “How you do anything is how you do everything.”

As you become aware of the things you think, say, and do, you might find yourself learning how you do things. Certainly, there are things that you do in your life that you could do better. If you work for a company or any organization, management is not only looking at what you are doing but how you are doing it. Skilled managers are looking at how the staff handles various tasks are and always looking for ways that they could increase their performance.

You might want to think about applying this strategy to your life as well. Look at the way you are doing the things in your life.

Review

Before you turn in at night, or throughout the day, try to evaluate the things you do from an external perspective and ask yourself, “Could I have done that better?” Then ask yourself, “How could I do that better the next time?” Allowing for the possibility of not doing a thing.

If some action is not serving your higher purpose in life, yet it must be done, think about delegating the task to someone else to whom it is better suited, delegate it, outsource it, or eliminate it if possible, replacing it with a task that will draw you closer to your desired life, thereby maximizing your potential.

Your Choices = Your Future

Those things that you choose to think, say, and do today

Dr. Tim Madding says,

Tim Madding

It’s known as the principle of the path. The path you take today will lead you to a destination later. You should never be surprised where you end up since it is based on a series of decisions made.

“Why am I in so much debt?”

Because you purchased stuff you have chosen that you could not afford.

“Why is my marriage so horrible?”

Because you chose to marry someone you didn’t know and chose not to develop relationship goals to overcome differences.

“Why am I getting divorced?”

Because you chose to flirt with that woman at the office, then go out of your way to see her, then started hanging out and then started sleeping together.

Today what you think, what you say, and what you do determines who you are tomorrow, and you can change your future based on how you do this day.

What are you thinking?

What words are you using?

What are you doing?

Look for Evil Get More Evil

Look for evil and you find it everywhere. It seems like the more you look for evil, the more evil there is. As you look for all the evil in the world the evil grows, and so it goes…

You are a magnificent and powerful creator. Whatever you focus your attention on increases and multiplies. This is you a son or daughter of the Creator, with all the power of creation within you.

There are those who seek to propagate evil in the world today and they are aware of your power to create and add powerful exponential energy to that which you focus your attention upon. They exploit your power by manipulating you into focusing on the negative things in life which are presented to your awareness. Focus on these negative presentations with negative energy, and you cause them to multiply exponentially.

Reduced to its simplest form, this is how it works:

Those who seek the proliferation of evil present you with an idea via a news story, an advertisement on television, or some other form of media which depicts a horrible injustice.

Your attention to the presentation provides enough energy to sustain the injustice. The more your thoughts are focused on the issues presented, the more pervasive the issue becomes.

Respond to the presentation with negativity, i.e.,

I hate it when that happens!”
Or
I hate people who do that!”

Then you empower the negative presentation with your own negative energy causing it to grow exponentially.

Dare to add thoughts of retaliation or punishment and it grows even more powerfully in all its evil.

This only reflects the condition of you, one person, viewing the presentation and responding to it.

Think about the millions of people viewing the same presentation.

And we wonder why there is so much evil in the world?

The powers that be are aware of the immense power you wield to affect every aspect of this world. They socially program and take advantage of you, using you as a negative power cell to further their agenda of keeping the world’s peoples living in a state of fear and negativity.

The GOOD NEWS is, now that you are aware of the power you have, you can decide to use your power for good at any time you choose.

How would you like to look for good and find more and more of it everywhere you look?

Simply by applying the antithesis, looking for good anywhere you can find it, by adding support and positive energy for all things which you consider good, you cause the good to multiply, expanding exponentially. And by celebrating the good in any way you can (even posting on social media) it increases even more.

Now that you know, you no longer have to acquiesce to evil manipulation.

The next time your attention is interrupted by evil programming, you can disengage and turn away from it, immediately finding something good to focus your attention on and celebrate that which is good.

If you feel negatively about some injustice, do not focus upon it or complain (which adds even more negative energy) about it, compromising your otherwise positive vibration.

Make a donation (any small amount, even $5 a month) to those who are actively engaged in the fighting against whatever it is that is trying to distract you, then you can feel better knowing that you are contributing to the cause without succumbing to further empowering the evil.

You are now a positive power cell for good.

If enough of us do transform out thoughts into positive power generators, the good will overpower the evil. Allowed to continue to grow, evil will no longer be sustainable, and good will prevail.

It all starts with you.

Your Mind’s Whiteboard

Did you know you have within you the power to create anything your heart desires? Whether in business, or your personal life, you can create a life, a community, a whole world, and entire universe, all with the power of your mind.

Let’s just look at your mind as a huge whiteboard. You’re armed with a fresh set of colored whiteboard markers, and you can write anything you want on the whiteboard in your mind. What thoughts would you write on the whiteboard of your mind? Positive thoughts? Negative thoughts?

This simple whiteboard tool allows you to be able to initiate the creation process. In the boardroom of your mind, you can create new goals, visions and make plans, sketching out plays to achieve your highest and best. And it all starts, right here, in the boardroom of your mind.

Every time you enter your board room, you have complete control of your whiteboard. No one else and you’re armed with an unlimited fresh set of colored whiteboard markers chart out any path through any challenge you may be facing. If you start using this process, no matter what you may be feeling outside, in here, in your boardroom, you are the inspired, powerful master coach, planning your next coup.

You can change your whiteboard at any time. You came to this planet with everything you would possibly need to create the life you desire, and if you persist to forge forward on the path of what you desire, those things that don’t make sense to you now, will emerge from the fog and become crystal clear at just the right time. And the people and tools that you need to push through to the next level will be there, if you honor your journey, are sincere and diligent.

If you walk into your boardroom and see negative thoughts, feelings or opinions on your whiteboard, you can use your dry eraser to wipe them away and replace them with positive thoughts, feelings and better ideas for a bright future.

If you see someone else’s words scripted out on your white board, you can mark it up, correct it and rewrite it, like a master mathematician or scientist solving a mystery of life, and restate it in it’s power and beauty, retaining the pearls of wisdom and projecting a fabulous future.

There may have been an important key hidden within someone’s statement that struck you wrong, or hurt your feelings. You can solve for it, like an equation on your mind’s whiteboard, turning a potentially defeating statement into a power-packed prediction of an amazing unfolding.

Remember, what anyone says to you is not about you. It’s about them. They may have meant to dissuade you in some way, to slow you down, or throw you off-track altogether. But you can look for the hidden treasure secretly hidden within their words, decoding for the missing ingredient that you need to perfect your formula. This is the unseen mission of the antagonist, to hide the clues you need to solve your problems that appear to have no solution.

This is why, when someone spews venomous opinions or gestures at you, you are unmoved. You have no need to react or defend yourself, but you do take note of their message. You determine what is fact and leave it as that, remove any false information and opinion, but looking for any hidden meaning that may be helpful for you on your journey. Sometimes, the jewel inside an otherwise flaming insult, can be just what you need to break-through to a new plateau in your pursuits.

You can use your super duper whiteboard eraser to start over anytime you want with a totally clean slate, the ultimate Control-Alt-Delete reboot. Just wipe it clean, and start over.

And you have all this power within you, accessible by that silly little thing that others have told you was only used by fools, your imagination. What they don’t want you to know is that your imagination is the most powerful tool you have. It holds power that is only now beginning to be realized, and it’s unsettling to the scientific world as they are beginning to realize there may be nothing of greater potential than the human imagination un-tethered.

What Do You Think?

What you think, say and believe about yourself defines who you are. Thoughts and words are so very powerful, that if you could truly grasp the power they wield, you would not use them so haphazardly. Certainly they can be powerful weapons when discharged against others, more powerful than a loaded gun, but what about when you turn those loaded weapons and aim them at yourself?

what do you think positive thinking negative thoughts

Think about these powerful weapons rolling around in your head; what do you allow to occupy this sacred space. There is no more private or intimate space besides your mind – which, by the way, is hardwired to your heart – where your deepest thoughts, dreams, desires, fears and joy resides. You, yes you, have control over what proliferates the confines of your mind and heart. You.

You cannot blame life, life circumstance, any belief system, person, place, parent or thing for what thoughts you allow to persist in your thoughts.

Why must you take control of your thoughts? Because they are so powerful, they manifest in you and attract more of what you think about, causing a great tidal wave of whatever it is you’re thinking about to head your way.

What you’re thinking about yourself is who you become

If you have self image thoughts or self-talk that may not be in your best interest, such as being disappointed in yourself in some way, then you are certainly destined to become the very thoughts that haunt you. Alternatively, the more positive thoughts you engage in about yourself, the more positive the person you are. It’s really that simple.

If you think, “I’m not good enough,” then you are not (or you might be good enough at first blush, but if you continue to entertain the thought that you are not good enough, then it will not be long before you are unworthy of much at all).

Your other negative thoughts about yourself follow suit:

I can’t do it
I have the worst luck
I’m such a loser
I’m not worthy
No one loves me, or alternatively, nobody cares
I hate “my” (or “it, when I”) _______ (fill in the blank)

It is in your best interest to me mindful of how and what you think about because those negative thoughts will steal any hope of having good thoughts, especially about yourself.

If a negative thought is a weapon that steals, then a positive thought is the cure that heals.

Trade Negative for Positive

If you’re having negative thoughts about yourself, all you have to do is to catch yourself thinking the thought – stop – and rephrase the thought as positive self-talk in its opposite. So, I can’t do it becomes, I can do it. I have the worst luck becomes, I have the best luck, etc…

Want to supercharge your transformation, just ramp it up with an immensely positive reframe, like, “I can do it amazingly, better than most people!” Or, “I have the most amazing luck, I always win!”

Why? Because what you think comes to pass. Use these powerful tools not to tear yourself down but to build yourself up, because you are so amazing!

What you’re thinking about everything else grows and becomes more powerful

Here are those powerful thoughts at work again, this time affecting the world around you. If you’re thinking about tortured souls, people, animals you not only attract more of these things to your awareness, but your thoughts create more of it in the world.

Yes, by focusing on the injustices, crimes, disasters and lack (of anything) you actually help to create more of it.

Please, try to stop thinking about bad things, because it only creates more bad things.

What can you do?

Think about the opposite good things, the solutions… and if you’re as amazing as I think you are, start not only thinking but talking to others about the amazing answers that are unfolding, maybe take action. Write a letter to the editor, make a blog post, support or start a movement for good.

By taking a positive approach – and focusing on positive solutions – you become a powerful healing force, creating and making the world a better place.

Think and be what you want to see

And it is so

Law of Attraction Positive Psychology

In my work with clients changing their lives for the better and helping them achieve their highest and best (and even more)… it is not uncommon to cross paths with the Law of Attraction (or LOA). From an early age (and long before The Secret was released) I was intrigued by what has become known as the Law of Attraction when I first discovered the principles in the Bible during my ministerial studies as I was simultaneously processing the positive psychology works of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. Since then, I discovered the Law of Attraction predated the religious texts that I was studying.

Moving onto vogue, the Law of Attraction was picking up speed, separating itself from religious venues and leaking into pop culture and embraced by what was known as the New Age Movement or associated with New Thought, then found a home amongst Quantum Theory, influencing Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Sciences.

The Secret law of attraction rhonda byrne positive psychology self improvement

You have probably heard of the Law of Attraction due to its increase in popularity thanks to the work of Rhonda Byrne’s release of the movie, The Secret. I became acquainted with Ms. Byrne and her work in 2008 and was so impressed with her story, which was an effective demonstration of the Law of Attraction in Action. Most of the general population had not heard about the Law of Attraction prior to the release of Bryne’s film that spread throughout our culture, like wildfire, though many had paved the way since the early 1900’s, most notably, Wallace D. Wattles and Charles F. Haanel, and in the most recent times, Esther Hicks and (of course) the entire cast of The Secret movie.

Regardless of what you might think about Ms. Byrne, thanks to the popularity of her work, the Law of Attraction has found a place among a pondering public, becoming curiouser and curiouser about

What else is possible?

and

How much better can it get?

For those of us in the self-help industry, the idea of the Law of Attraction was nothing new, and the area wherein we focused our attention was not readily accepted by the traditional treatment camps – Even though our results far outweighed any traditional therapies – we were regarded as pseudoscience or pop psychology. Since (in the beginning) much of my work was religious in nature, I was even more isolated and categorized as a prosperity theologian with the likes of Kenneth Hagin, E. W. Kenyon, Oral Roberts and Kenneth Copeland, even though I had moved far beyond the constraints of organized religion.

Be that as it may, a great deal of my studies and expertise revolves and evolves in, around and beyond the area of massive personal, heart-centered and spiritual growth. In an attempt to best serve my clients, I have fully embraced multiple modalities and continue to grow and expand my own consciousness and expertise. For me, this is a constant and never ending compulsion to be my highest and best, as I help others achieve their highest and best.

And it never ceases to amaze me, when I reach a new plateau, I encounter resistance. Life will shake me up, with little respect for my trepidation and fear, presenting me with a new, unforeseen summit to consider.

Rhonda Byrne’s participation in the popularization of the idea of the Law of Attraction was almost incidental. The universe was bound and determined to bring the idea to an increased audience that was waiting for a glimpse of a better life and hope for a bright future, when lightning struck Ms. Byrne and she was ready and willing to answer the call. The Secret is not a complete work, it is not the end all-be all source of the Law of Attraction. It is only an introduction…

Anything is Possible… Everything Is

I’ve spent most of my life in the personal and professional growth industry, surrounding myself with clients and mentors who are striving to be on the leading edge or have a burning desire to help make the world a better place. I have been blessed to work with some of the best minds in the mind sciences.

Anything is possible youre almost there Everything isOne common theme that runs throughout the waves of thought that permeate the sea of higher consciousness, is the belief that, “anything is possible.”

Under normal circumstances, people are programmed to doubt their own sense of value – even though they came to this planet with a unique set of skills, abilities and unique message to share with the local community or the world – feeling as though they were not qualified to be a worthy messenger.

Usually, when I begin working with someone they are already on the path of achieving their highest and best or at the very least they have knowingness that their life is beckoning them to a higher calling and sense of fulfilled purpose.

Personal performance coaches start with the tenant of getting the client to a baseline understanding that there is ample well-documented, verifiable proof of things once thought to be impossible became possible starting with the thought that anything is possible.

This is not a new concept, as even New Testament’s Jesus proclaims that all things are possible for he who believes (Mark 9:23) and many have gone on since to spread these words with different themes attached to it for clarity in certain situations, such as:

“If you believe in yourself anything is possible” or “Impossible only means that you haven’t found the solution yet.” A scientist-and-engineer friend of mine (referring to a quote by Henry Ford) says, “Anything is possible, with enough time and money.”

Celebrities have chimed in with their varied view about anything being possible:

“With self-discipline, most anything is possible.” ~ Theodore Roosevelt
“The best scientist is open to experience and begins with romance – the idea that anything is possible.” ~ Ray Bradbury
“Nothing is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m possible’.” ~ Audrey Hepburn
“If you lead with passion anything is possible.” ~ Paula Abdul
“Once you chose hope, anything is possible.” ~ Christopher Reeve
“Anything is possible, if you’ve got enough nerve.” ~ J.K. Rowling
“When doubt is banished, abundance flourishes and anything is possible.” ~ Wayne Dyer

Even when Alice in Wonderland says, “This is impossible.” The Mad Hatter counters with, “Only if you believe it is.”

All this to say, anything that has ever been conceived, discovered or achieved was birthed in the thought that anything (currently believed to be impossible) is indeed possible – and someone believed it with enough fortitude – and had undertaken the task of making it so.

Napoleon Hill said, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

We believe that anyone – yes, even you – have everything that you need to bring this thing to pass; and for some of us, it is our mission in life to support the efforts of an inspired individual to achieve the impossible.

But wait! There’s more!

Believing that anything is possible is only the beginning. Yes, it can get you from here to there and beyond.

There is a superior concept that lies ahead in the horizon, that once it is truly grasped, changes everything and the belief that all things are possible begins to fade as one begins to understand:

Everything Is

I’ll let you ponder that one…

Anything is Possible (you’re almost there)… Everything Is
