Thanksgiving Leftovers

After the thanksgiving festivities are over, and the Black Friday mayhem has begun, many of us are left with that warm, fuzzy feeling of having spent precious moments with the people we love. Bust as we all know, even after the event has come and gone there are always Thanksgiving leftovers.

Not just the goodies piled up in the fridge as late-night snacks, or foods to be repurposed for lunch meals or TV dinners, but the most precious leftovers of all, the memories of spending time with loved ones which welcomes a cascade of even more nostalgic reminders of love’s power and infinite endurance.

This year, I was so blessed to spend the holiday with my people, especially my children, Nathanial, Tabitha, and Jaycie and their families. And, OMG, could anyone have known that EJ and Tim (and all the others who helped in meal prep) would be able to create the most heavenly vegan Thanksgiving meal-spread of all (my favorite was the brussels sprout flavor-popping culinary delights). Family-time, like this, is precious and priceless, and it feels your heart with much love which lasts for long after Thanksgiving Day has come and gone; Thanksgiving leftovers.

You feel the combination of the love and the gratitude and you might like to share some of that amazing energy with someone less fortunate. But this, these precious moments, are your prized possessions and may not be embraced with as much tender honor as you might bestow on these times. Far better to share love with others from an infinite source.

You have the right idea, about sharing love with others who may not have had the opportunity to have an experience like yours, and may be feeling desolate, alone, totally lost and without hope. Rather than share my Thanksgiving leftovers with those who could use some love during the holidays, I prefer sending love to the world from the infinite source of all life and love.

So overwhelmed with feeling so full of love and blessedness that while others were fighting over sale items on Black Friday, I took a long (very long) leisurely walk via a nature trek on one of the most amazing, moderate winter evenings in the Pacific Northwest, and spent almost the entire time sending love to the world.

The beauty of sending love to the world via the infinite source is that it does not deplete any of your own love resources and if you do it right… (drum roll…) it ramps up your own love vibration exponentially. Wa-hoo! (If you could only imagine how I feel, right now… so far above Cloud Nine!)

Now, imagine if you felt like you had no love to share. None. Even the thought of love is like staring into a black vacuum, no feeling, no joy, nothing.

Here comes the good part.

Let’s say, there is no love in you, but you still might like to wish love could be apparent and felt by others, even if you, yourself, could not imagine having any love to share. You, too, could try sending love to the world.

By sending love to the world from an infinite source (such as via the method I walk you through in my Sending Love to the World guided meditation) you become a conduit for love. The love comes down and flows through you as you shower this infinite love over your family, friends, neighbors, community, town, state, country, and the whole world. You cannot conduct this exercise without realizing the residual benefits from doing so.

First, and foremost, you are no longer loveless. You cannot send love to the world without feeling some love leftovers. This residual loveliness is yours to keep. It is your reward for taking a few minutes out of your life to send love to others who may desperately need it. But there’s more…

The act of sending love to the world ramps up your immune system and promotes inner healing (not just psychological, but physiological, also) for up to eight hours. Plus, you feel better and every time you send love to the world, you add exponential time to your life and reverse the process of aging.

Who wouldn’t want to receive love, experience self-healing, feel better, be younger, and live longer?

Taking a few minutes out for Sending love to the world is a small price to pay for all that.

If you might like to give it a try, check out my,

Thankful and Sending Love to the World

I am so thankful and blessed, not just on Thanksgiving, but every day that I get to spend living life on this planet. I have experienced the greatest of all peak experiences to their fullest and I have weathered the desolate valleys, and if I had a chance to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing.

I am thankful for all the people whom I know and have known, the people who love and support me, and those who don’t particularly care for me, even the haters. They all have been integral parts of my life, which is the most magnificent tapestry.

Of course, I wish everyone could love me, but I am an acquired taste, and not everyone can appreciate me for who I am. I am blessed either way because if it weren’t for those who would rather avoid me, I might take the respect and love I receive from others for granted. It just makes them all the more precious to me.

I suppose life has led me down a path accompanied by a soundtrack I sing along with as I traverse which is often optimistic. Even in the worst of times, I can see the good in all things (albeit, not necessarily at the get-go, but I get there).

It is from this blessed space that I like

Sending Love to the World

Initially, a solitary and private undertaking, I invited others to join me in sending love to the world, for the sake of others who are unable to find joy and may be suffering hardship, especially during the holidays, for, “There but for the grace of God, go I.”

It could easily be me in such a state of loss or disrepair, that I could not see the light, any glimmer whatsoever, and might even contemplate whether my life was worth living at all. It is for these people that I try to remember to take a few minutes out of my holiday season to send them love. And not just them, but broaden my scope to include my family, friends, community, state, country and include sending love to the world.

As I invite people to join me, all I ask is that you set aside at least three minutes from your holiday activities for sending love to the world. I usually send love in ten-minute intervals, but only three minutes of sending love to the world increases the love which radiates in your life, boosts your immune system for up to eight hours, and reverses aging. (Who wouldn’t want to do that?) It doesn’t cost a dime, and is beneficial to others, as you join in, even if only for a few minutes because the effects are cumulative and exponential.

You can send love in any manner which resonates with you. You can pray, meditate, light a candle, or whatever other way you choose to send love to the world. If you’re at a loss about how to engage in sending love to the world, then, by all means, you are invited to try my

Sending Love to the World Guided Meditation

Please, if you have known love, even if you are like me and have loved and lost, at least you have known it, given love, even if it wasn’t reciprocated. So many, have not even had the privilege of knowing love at all.

And for those who are reserved, withdrawn, suffering and in pain, a little love vibration might just be what they need to make it through this tough time in life, and you helped by sending love to the world.

If you’re reading this on Thanksgiving, please consider being bold enough to take a few minutes out of your family celebration to join in sending love to the world. And if Thanksgiving day has passed, please consider doing it anytime during the holidays.

Sending Love to the World runs from November 11th, through the 1st of January, with the most important days being Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and New Years. These are the days, when the people who are not doing well may feel the most desolate. You and we can make a difference.

Thank you for joining me this year in sending love to the world.

Please share this with your friends, and invite them to join us.

Sending Love to the World 2017

Today is Veterans Day, which is also the launch date of Sending Love to the World 2017. The annual event which started in 2014 was an effort to allow peoples to gather in harmony in an effort to join energetically to send love to the world for Christmas.

Sending love to the world november through december 2012

You might ask why one might be concerned about sending love at a time when the world is teaming with joyous love in celebration of the holidays? The point is this: at this love-filled celebratory time while we are all happy and spending quality time with family, there are others with whom we share the planet with (some not far from us, could even be next door) who are taking their own lives at Christmastime. It can leave you wondering why do people commit suicide?

The idea that Christmas could be the one day of the year most people have suicidal thoughts is just too difficult to fathom. As confusing as it might seem, Christmas is the best and the worst of times. This depressive holiday season starts on November 11th, a time of year we set aside to honor those who have served in the United States military. Veteran suicides make up a surprising 18% of the people who have suicidal thoughts and will kill themselves over the holiday season.

It is through efforts of events, like Sending Love to the World 2017, that those of us who are less likely to commit suicide can compassionately reach out to others who are less fortunate and/or struggling with lack of self-esteem, sadness, loneliness, or any other number of maladies which might tip the scale for someone to think that the feeling of being dead would feel better than the pain of being alive. It is in those moments that a person thinks about actually taking their own life, and it is a desperate place to be.

It’s so easy for us to get caught up in the intensity of the season and not have the wherewithal to set aside a few moments to think about what might be happening elsewhere. No one is blaming or judging you for this, but now that you know, you can make it right by doing something that can change (and possibly save) someone’s life.

You can make a difference by sending love to those whose hearts are lacking in a sense of feeling love. It is our hope that by your joining us to send these people love they will have a sense of relief, enough to survive the challenges faced by the holiday season.

Not limited to our intention to have the positive effect of decreasing the rate of suicide over the holidays, it also our intent to send love to others, including the creatures of the earth and the whole world.

3 minutes to send love to the world

3 Minutes for a Better World

All we ask is that you take a minimum of three minutes to send love to the world in any way that resonates with you. Your three minutes or more could have a huge impact on the lives of those who are struggling at this time or year.

Remember it is not just your three-minutes or more, but your efforts are joined by all the other people who are also taking a few minutes to send love to the world. Some people will be spending ten minutes or more each day sending love to the world. Still your three minutes, if that is all you do, makes a huge difference, and who knows? Once you send love for three minutes, you might enjoy the benefits from doing it so much that you might want to do it more often.

Benefits of Sending Love to the World

Not only are you sharing the positive energy of love to others, but engaging in this benevolent activity for as few as three minutes boosts your immune system for up to eight hours, promoting healing and better physical and emotional health. Plus, it fills your heart with even more love.

Isn’t caring and sharing love the theme we all want to see for the holidays?

God bless you and yours, for taking a few minutes this holiday season to help make the world a better place.

Love to you for all you do.

Sending Love to the World

My local community, the country where I reside and the world have come to represent far less than my hopes and dreams for a better world for our children, grandchildren and generations to come.

One look at the media and news headlines clearly reveals what we have come to.

It would be easy to succumb to apathy and just reside ourselves to accept being comfortably numb.

Even so, there are people all around the world who are awakening and motivated to take a part – no matter how small – to make the world a better place.

I have faith that my efforts combined with the efforts of others to agree and support the idea of a better world for future generations where we will realize a luxurious peaceful planet.

One thing we could do is to agree together to send our intentions, thoughts, energy, meditations and prayers to the world in a concerted effort.

Sending Love to the World

sending love to the world 2016Christmas is one of the most loving and caring time of year for many of us. Unfortunately for so many others, it is the worst time of the year with increased depression, domestic violence, homelessness, crime and suicide.

This year, my friends and I will be joining together to send love to the world in an effort to offset some of the negative energy infiltrating our world at what should be a peaceful, love-filled time of the year.

We will be taking time out of our holiday festivities starting at midnight on Christmas Eve and continuing to take breaks throughout Christmas Day, December 25th to send love to the world in any way each of us sees fit. Some will in silent repose intently focus of sending positive heart-felt empowered energy to those less fortunate, while others will meditate or engage in prayer. The method doesn’t matter as much as our intent and agreement to be unified in this energetic effort.

If you are uncertain about how you can join us energetically this Christmas, you can join me any time from midnight Christmas Eve to midnight Christmas Day, in my video guided meditation at

Sending Love to the World

We are awakening, our world is changing and as we agree together to take action in efforts, like Sending Love to the World, we are changing the world in a positive way.

We are not accepting the limitations and separations imposed upon us by society which keeps our energies diminished. We do not allow ourselves to be separated by geography, politics, religion or other thought patterns. Our intense love and hope for a better future binds us together in a way that cannot be untethered. In this way, we are one.

Our peaceful, loving efforts to create and promote a better world for future generations will be rewarded, when we as a united loving force for good and our combined energies reach critical mass.

Please feel free to join us and invite others to join us in

Sending Love to the World

This Christmas, and if you are so inclined, every day thereafter.

Sending love to you and yours this holiday season, and every day,

Christmas the Best and the Worst

Christmas Brings Out the Best in Us

You just gotta love Christmas. It brings out the best in us. We feel inclined to spread good will among men. We are likely to give to those less fortunate and shower family, friends and loved ones with cards,

No other time of the year is focused on making dreams come true, especially for the young (and the young of heart).

Christmas Love

If you have an inkling to love, the increased love or the season will infiltrate all life’s circumstances around you and you will feel a tendency to love more, with more passion than other times of the year.

Seeing the anticipation and tears of joy in a child’s eyes when opening a gift wished for fills the heart in so many ways.

christmas-the-best-and-the-worst

Christmas Brings Out the Worst in Us

Christmastime also imposes an incredible amount of pressure on individuals and families around the holiday season. We might find ourselves battling the crowds in an effort to find that perfect gift (and may be willing to battle it out with another shopper for the last one in the process). While we are s[reading good will, we may find ourselves cussing out someone for taking the parking spot we intended on getting for ourselves.

Christmas can be used as a disciplinary weapon against our children, because, after all, Santa knows who’s been bad or good. And if you’ve been bad, you will receive no present from Santa Claus. (Ugh.)

Christmas Crime

In an effort to make sure everyone has a good Christmas, criminals are not on their best behaviors as they take advantage of Christmas celebrators who are less security conscious during the holidays will see increased rates of theft and burglary.

Interestingly enough, the pressure, stress and strain finds individuals challenged and at odds with those around them, leading to increases in assaults and domestic violence.

Christmas Is Offensive

Christmas is an American tradition based on Christianity. In early American culture Christianity may have been the predominant religion, and the benefit to retailers at the end of the year is priceless.

Since then, America has become much more diverse and people represented by other religions don’t get it. And even among the Christian religions, some find the commercialization of the holiday and the inclusion of Santa Claus offensive, with some refusing to celebrate at all.

Christmas Is Depressing

The holidays increase the load on mental health resources, more than any other time of year as we tend to be more lonely, blue, depressed and maybe even suicidal at Christmastime.

What’s the Christmas Answer?

I am not the political or religious person who could even offer a solution. Christmas is a messy subject in America. This tried and true American tradition has become such a cluster of chaos and confusion, I cannot imagine a suitable solution.

Fortunately, I personally don’t have any issues with the holiday, myself. I enjoy celebrating the birth of Christ and embrace the idea of Sending Love to the World during the holiday season in an effort to help mitigate the negative energy associated with the season.

If you feel differently, I honor you and your right to celebrate or not and I offer you my sincerest apologies for this holiday which has unfortunately gotten out of control.

What do you think the answer is?

Suicide for Christmas

On Christmas, this year, people will opt to end their lives. Though it has been rumored that this is when most people commit suicide, the tragic truth is that suicide rates are far more consistent all year long.

While the holidays represent the best things in life to those of us with family and friends, there are others who face life’s greatest challenges at this time of the year. Suicide is a very real growing concern in the world in which we live with one person choosing to end their own life every minute including one veteran suicide each and every hour around the clock.

suicide-for-christmas

The holiday season is the most tragic of times for someone to opt-out of this life as we know it by committing suicide on Christmas Day, followed by another surge of self-inflicted death on New Year’s Day.

Such a tragic state of affairs when there is so much love in the air.

What will I be doing this holiday season?

I will be joining with friends to set aside time to make the world a better place by

Sending Love to the World

I am not in the least bit suggesting that you not do other things to reach out to those less fortunate during the holiday season. Indeed, we should continue to help in the every same ways we have in the past, but this year consider augmenting your efforts by

My friends and I will be taking time out of our Christmas Day festivities to take breaks in order to Send Love to the World.

How to Send Love to the World

The idea consists of taking out a few minutes starting at midnight Christmas Eve through midnight Christmas Day to send love to the world. Amidst all the holiday spirit of love and celebration my friends and I will be consciously excusing ourselves to send love to the world.

sending-love-to-the-world-december-25-2016-sendinglovetotheworld-comSending love to the world can take any form you like. It is not a religious activity, but can be if you so desire. It is a decision to take a break from holiday festivities to send mindful thoughts, say a prayer, sing a song or meditate – in any way you see fit – for the benefit of others who may be struggling at the very same time.

I believe this concerted effort of my friends and I will help to raise the overall vibration (which is already high at this time of year), enough so as to be able to help someone consider staving off their feeling that life is too painful to have hope for a better day, at least one more day.

I know that when I’ve felt like I just couldn’t take it one more day, and death would be a pain-free alternative to life… not killing myself has allowed life to show me how amazing it can be.

I would hate to see someone rob themselves from the opportunity of enjoying the best this life has to offer by just giving it one more chance for one more day.

If I’ve ever learned anything, the importance of allowing one more day is the greatest opportunity offered any of us, which more often than not, we take advantage of every waking day.
