What? Do you mean you didn’t have a plan when you wrote your book? So, you went through all that trouble, pressed through when most people would have bailed with no plan? What was your plan when you wrote your book? You just thought you’d publish your book and instantly become famous and/or rich. Was that your plan when you wrote your book?

How’s that working for you?

“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” Words of wisdom from the star of the Hunny (hundred dollar bill), Benjamin Franklin. Couldn’t have said it better myself. So, in that respect, you’re a winner. You accomplished that task with great success. But fear not, there is still hope for you and the success you desired when you went about writing your book.

How can you get your success as an author back on track?

It will take some time and effort on your part to put your affairs in order to revive your dream, whatever it was when you started this project of writing your book. Many people write for many different reasons.

To start, we need to go back there and answer this question,

Why did you write your book?

What motivated you to write your book in the first place? Very few people go about the task of writing a book and completing it. You did that. There must have been some reason that was so compelling that it managed to get you through the inevitable tough times, when others would have just pushed the writing project away, and found something more instantly fulfilling to do. And if you did walk away in a moment like that, you came back. Why?

This is enormously important, and you must have the answer before proceeding to the next step.

Now, You Can Create a Plan

No use crying over milk that’s already been spilled. It is late in the game, but there’s no better time than now to get to creating a plan and setting it into motion so that the reason, your why, can be achieved.

If your previous plan was to be discovered as the amazing author you intended to be, then you know by now that was not in the cards for you, but may still be just ahead once you go about this business of moving you through the process of being recognized as the expert in your field.

Establish Yourself as an Expert

Basically, you can easily be identified as an expert in your field by getting three dot com domains. One for your name, one for what you do, and one for a specific area of expertise. See more here: Be an Expert in Your Field.

This is how you are really going to get from where you are to where you want to be because you can push your dream into fruition yourself if you can self-finance it as you go. No more waiting to be tapped in the head by the magic wand of your fairy godmother.

This is so profitable and easy, that you might consider this as your new lifestyle.
