This is an exciting moment—but it’s also where you might get thrown off track.
The Point of No Return
Once you’ve seen through the illusions of the world, it’s impossible to go back. Sure, you could return to your old routines, falling back into the comfortable rhythm of the life you knew before this realization. But deep down, you’d always know it’s just going through the motions.
If you’re brave enough to continue, you’ll invite new thought patterns and explore ideas that push the boundaries of your understanding.
But beware: you could be waylaid by a flood of information, the allure of a persuasive guru, or the temptation to follow someone else’s journey.
The Most Important Piece: You
Here’s what you must remember: your journey is about you.
No two people will experience enlightenment the same way. Your journey is yours alone, and to fully experience it, you must find your own way. If you find yourself following someone else’s path, you’re not truly walking your own.
It’s fine—valuable, even—to learn from others, to explore their ideas, and to allow the flow of new information into your awareness. But don’t let yourself get stuck there.
The Rungs of the Ladder
Think of enlightenment as a ladder. Each step you take is important, but no single step is the destination.
- Maybe you’ve explored the Law of Attraction and found it transformative.
- Perhaps you’ve delved into Quantum Mechanics and expanded your understanding of reality.
These are all steps—important, valuable steps—but they’re not the end. There’s always another rung waiting for you to climb.
You can spend as much time as you need on any step, but don’t let yourself get stuck. Don’t trade one herd for another, no matter how small or like-minded it may be. True expansion means breaking free from all herds and continuing forward, even when it’s uncomfortable or uncertain.
The Spiritual Dimension
For me, this journey has always been a spiritual one. That word—spiritual—may make some people uncomfortable, but all it means is this: considering concepts so vast, so far beyond what we’ve been programmed to think, that they boggle the mind of modern man.
When you start to grasp just how much more is going on, even when it seems like nothing could possibly be happening, you realize you’re only scratching the surface.
We call it spiritual because there’s no better word for it. But don’t get hung up on the terminology. It doesn’t matter what you call it. What matters is that you’re focused on your individual journey while allowing others the freedom to find their own paths.
This is true tolerance, and it’s a hallmark of enlightened expansion.
Truth Is a Moving Target
I’ll admit, I’m sometimes tempted to say, “Believe me,” because I know something to be true—for me, in that moment. But here’s the thing: my truth isn’t your truth. And even my truth changes.
I’ve delivered heartfelt monologues about something I knew to be true, only to stop mid-sentence and say, “Wait a minute… That might not be true.”
And that’s okay. Truth is fluid. What you believe right now might not be true tomorrow. The key is to stay open—to consider that there’s always more to discover, more to understand.
Don’t Believe Me—or Anyone Else
Here’s my best advice: Don’t believe me. Don’t believe anyone else. And, if you dare, don’t even believe yourself.
Be open to the idea that what you believe right now might not be the whole truth. Allow yourself to question, to wonder, and to explore. When you do, more will appear.
Your Unique Path
Your journey of enlightenment is uniquely yours. It won’t look like anyone else’s, and it shouldn’t. Let others inspire you, but don’t follow in their footsteps. Forge your own path.
Remember, every step you take is just one rung on the ladder. There’s always another waiting for you, something beyond your current understanding, ready to be discovered.
Stay curious. Stay open. Keep climbing.
And most importantly, keep your focus on you.
