Now is the Time for You

Ever feel like you have little or no say in how your life goes? Most people believe that dreaming about having a better life is for children, like believing in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. Now is the time for you, even after you’ve grown up and matured, given up on your dreams because you came to believe they were not real or possible, they were only fantasies, wishful thinking, and energy wasted on false hope.

There are many contributing factors to you’re believing that there is no possible bright future waiting for you that have been in play throughout your whole life.

In the moment you were born, you were so excited to have the opportunity to play out your role as a sacred blessing and contributing to the world. Not long after that first breath, though, you began your struggle to fight, trying to hold on to your divinity, while family circumstances, caretakers, friends, teachers, celebrities, society, and “the system,” eroded your true being to devolve into a manageable member of the human-machine.

If you were not born into a family with massive financial resources, were the recipient of a great inheritance, won the lottery, or some other unexpected windfall was bestowed upon you, you simply resigned yourself for settling for survival, just getting by, making the best of what you have, or some other form of mediocrity. All the while, denying your own sense of royal divinity.

It’s true that our society makes considerations for those who have all the marbles, while the rest of us are expected to fall in line as the worker bees in soulless servitude of the queen bee (representing those who control the world’s resources and therefore usurp control over all its inhabitants).

If you have encountered drama and trauma along your journey, be not dismayed, this has imbued you with knowledge and insight which is critical to your metamorphosis. Now is the time to embrace who you are, all of you, if you have any intention of allowing yourself to evolve into the divine being you were born to be.

Breaking through the thick layer of programming which has led you to where you are today takes an incredible amount of will, strength, and fortitude to see to its annihilation. Now is the time for you to embrace your challenges in life as your training ground, preparing you for this event if you choose to allow your evolution to continue.

It’s easy to get discouraged, especially if you’re stuck working in a dead-end job just to make the ends meet with little or no sense of pride or satisfaction, numb to the fact that all your efforts are put forth for the benefit of someone else, while you garner your meager wage which you must manage carefully to survive. One wrong move, and you’re done.

Oh, but you could work hard every day to take it easy when get your Social Security benefits, which they are raising the age requirements for, because… well, you’re expected to live to be 78 years old. They want to pay you as little as they can between the time you retire and the time you die, so they raise the age from 65 to 67 (that’s 11 years), or 70 (8 years of benefits) if you want a little bit more per month. And good luck trying to make a living on what they give you.

Those of us who are best prepared for retirement, have our own 401(k) and we can (some of us more than likely more than) double our retirement take home which may enable you to eek by, in the same manner you’d been accustomed to in your working years, but more likely than not, you will find yourself having to continue to work to subsidize your retirement income.

That is, unless you change your life, and now is the time for you to start by allowing your mind to go to those forbidden places, your dreams, and desires. Rekindle the flame of your imagination with little a little action here and there, and ready yourself for a new outlook on life, and the life which was your birthright can begin to unfold for you.

This is why I, along with others, are vowing to Never Retire. I feel as though my best years are yet to come, and I have a great deal of contribution ahead, continuing to empower others to achieve their highest and best and make the world a better place.

I have had the privilege of being with people in their final hours, and the biggest regret most of them have is all the (endless) regret for not doing more and/or pursuing their dreams. Many people feel as though if they haven’t pulled the trigger on their dreams before they’ve progressed in age, that it’s too late. Let me tell you, it’s never too late because Dreams Can Come True in Your Golden Years. (Be sure to tell your parents and/or grandparents that they still have time.)

Or you might be thinking, My Life Has Been So Awful that nothing good could come from it. Not so. If it weren’t for all that drama and trauma, you would not be so perfectly qualified to succeed because no one, no matter how much school they’ve attended could possibly have the knowledge that you have from having experienced your life’s events on the front lines. No one.

You have a particular Purpose, Message, Passion, and Mission (PMPM) in life crying out for expression, and you have all the tools necessary to bring this to full fruition. Now is the time for you and anything that you need will be provided to you, providing you step out in faith allowing your life to expand and unfold in all its glory.

Using the power of your imagination, imagine you have all the money to do whatever you wanted to do without having to work a day for anyone else. What would you most love to do? What activities in life would bring you satisfaction and joy? What would you do for fun?

The answers to these questions are clues leading to “the real you” who is waiting to emerge. Start finding ways to engage in these activities in any way that you can, now. If you can’t actually do those things, then spend time reading about them, playing games around them, writing out stories about what you will do when you can, and start making plans to actually do them. Feeding the flames of your passion(s) in these ways will bring the desires of your heart closer to you.

And if you’re finding yourself working for a living, find a way to do those things that you love, that provide you with a sense of satisfaction and purpose, and allow compensation to flow to you from the doing of the things you love to do. Blessings await those who are bold enough to pursue their dreams without giving up.

You don’t need an inheritance or to win the lottery, Now is the time for you to break through the heavy layers of social programming, freeing yourself enough to start doing the things you love to do, allowing your evolution to take place, and reach for more.

It’s Easy to Make the World a Better Place

When you look at the world as it is, it’s easy to make the world a better place based on what do you see, feel, do.

What do you see?

What you observe when you look at events that are taking place all around you or in the world, you do so based on where you are along a spectrum amidst the continuum of observation. On one end you might only be able to witness all the craziness and bad things that are happening. On the other end of the spectrum is only love, peace, and harmony in all things.

There is nothing wrong with seeing, and taking notice of, any of the things you are observing which resonate with you or cause you discomfort when you become aware of them. In fact, your having feelings about what you are witnessing is a key component in energizing the flow of that which you are an observant participant of.

What do you feel?

If you are a witness to a particular event which arouses certain good feeling vibrations, your energetic response supports and promotes the energy of the event taking place exponentially. At the very minimum, any area within three to five feet in any direction all around you is affected by the energy you feel about what you are viewing and participating in.

It doesn’t have to be live. The event you are participating in may be prerecorded, like viewing a video of a soldier coming home from war and surprising his son. Or your awareness may be piqued by your imagination, inspired by certain words you’ve read in a book. Whatever the source, you are observing, participating, and how you feel not only affects you but the world around you.

What do you do?

What you do next, based on how you feel, promotes what you’ve witnessed and how it made you feel a hundred-fold.

Let’s say you saw the video about the soldier’s homecoming who surprised his on Facebook. Seeing it made you feel good. So good, that your heart welled up with love and in the overflowing of emotion you wept tears of happiness. This immediately resonates within every cell of your body (boosting your immune system for hours) and everything around you.

Then inspired by the love you feel in that moment you take action and do something about it. You share it on Facebook. You’ve energetically promoted this powerful event with a hundred times the efficacy that it would have had, had you kept it to yourself. To add even more energy to it, you can promote it with even more energetic efficacy (2x) by adding any two personal words representing how you feel about it to the post. Four words, twice as much. Add two more (six words) double it again. ((100 x 2) x 2) x2. And on and on it goes.

Wow! You have a lot of power to promote good feeling vibrations and sending love to the world!

You. Just one person in the world.

And having done so, you have done a very good thing. You are a very powerful force for good in the world.

See, it’s easy to make the world a better place

It’s just as easy not to make the world a better place

One caveat: It’s just as easy to promote those things which you dislike about the world. If you can catch yourself within the first seven seconds, switch your state to the opposite and promote the positive, you can honor your observation of what you don’t want and make the world a better place.

Example: You see a news story about keeping people from crossing the borders and it upsets you. You could share the story along with a personal statement about how bad it is to do such a thing. You’ve just exponentially energized what you don’t want. Instead, if you can catch yourself within 7 seconds and share a positive story about how allowing loving and caring Americans to volunteer to sponsor or “adopt” those crossing the borders, can make the world a better place.

Start Living Your Best Life

The time has come, you’ve lived your life up until now, just as everyone expected you to. Suddenly, or a little over time which has grown cumulatively until the moment when, you’ve awakened to idea that things are not the way they appear to be, and you realize that now is the time to start living your best life.

You’ve lived a life which has been worth living. You’ve found ways to garner some sense of meaning amidst all the chaos in life. There have been moments which have been good, and you’ve found ways to make yourself feel happy, but these moments are few and far between.

You’ve done your best to maximize your experience throughout this life no matter what stood in your way. You’ve persevered and persisted to live a better life. Yet, something inside you has caused you to feel that something is seriously wrong.

Today, you realize that the world and everything you’ve come to believe ‘til this moment was far from the truth. Truth, if there is such a thing, is elusive and hidden by society and family, and you’re just not going to let other people tell you what to do, or who you are.

You decide to make a stand for yourself, your individuality, and resolve that the time has come for you to exercise your independence and freedom to be the unique you, which is your undeniable right.

You’ve lived a good life, you’ve endured pain, tragedy, and struggled to make it this far. Now it is time to

Start Living Your Best Life

When you start living your best life, you start living life on your own terms.

No one can tell you what to think, what to believe. You’ve realized that nearly everything everyone else believes is a falsehood designed to make them, the herd, easier to control, and they blindly follow the leader, as sheep to the slaughter.

This one thing you know, you’re opting out of the herd.

It’s not uncommon for you to feel both excited and anxious about dropping out of the rat race, for your whole life has been lived among that style of life which has kept you distracted by the media, societal structure, and games people play. There is a sort of addictive dependence which you have learned to feel attuned to, so there will be symptoms of withdrawal when you start to pull away.

At this moment you realize that your best life does not come from gaining the acceptance from others or living in such a way that incites approval or jealousy from others who long for a level of success (misery, infirmity, victimhood, or spirituality) which keeps us from truly connecting to other human beings.

Live a Better Life Your Best Life

Your best life is fully independent which engenders a yearning to connect with others, and the world in an authentic co-creative manner, in an effort to have a positive impact on our planet. You seek independence without separating yourself from others as you look to honor other human beings for whomever they are as you realize that you, just as they, are only doing the best you can with what you have.

As you start to understand your Purpose, Message, Passion, and Mission in this life, the idea of living your best life takes on new meaning. You are getting to know the empowered you which was your birthright. The one you were meant to be in the first place, that you which you were fully aware of when you were very young, but since have had beaten out of you by socialization or education.

In this sense today truly is the first day of the rest of your life as you take the steps necessary to get in touch with yourself, the source of all life, and the peaceful, harmonious connection to the world at large as you

Want a Do Over?

Ever look back on your life and think, “I could have done that better,” and wished you could go back in time and have a do-over, kind’a like Groundhog Day? What? You say you want a do-over?

Who doesn’t want a do-over?

I can certainly think of things I’ve done in the past, that had I known then what I know now, I would certainly have done things differently.

I’ll bet you have some things you could have done better, and you’d like a chance for a do-over, too.

Unfortunately, you can’t wake up every morning to the alarm clock’s warning to start the day over, over and over again, until you get it right.

Even though, in a very real way, every day is another chance for a do-over.

Every day, you have the chance to tweak something in your attitude, the way you experience or interface with life, or change your life in some way for the better so that you can live your best life and have the potential to make the world a better place.

Since you can’t go back in time, you can always go back to the future. Every day is a new chance of changing the future by trying something a little differently than you might have done before.

If something has gone particularly poorly in the past, you can’t change it. There’s no use in stressing out of beating yourself up for something that’s already taken place, It is what it is, but you can make the future better and change the future in the now, one moment at a time.

You can wait around for the end of the world as you know it, or create a new, more exciting, and a better world every day. It’s all up to you.

Don’t be shy about trying something differently. When you do something different than you normally would, whether it be at home, at work, taking an alternate route, or changing up your routine a little bit, you change the whole timeline which affects not only your life but the life of others all around you.

Whenever you’re feeling like your life is beginning to fall into a rut, or each day is looking pretty much like the day before, this is time to shake it up and try something different, possibly even something for the first time. Trying something completely different can really change the future.

Do something good. Anytime you perform a benevolent act or engage in spreading love via random acts of kindness, you rack up credit in the universal bank of goodwill. What you give comes back around to you and those who you love.

Life moves and changes faster than the speed of light and every thought that you think, every move you make and action you take changes the world in an instant. And so, it is for every other person, thing, natural or unnatural occurrence.

Get used to the idea that people and things are just the way they are. Do not try to extend any extra effort in trying to change people or things. Accepting and celebrating things as they are, allows you to act and maneuver in the flow of life that is progressive and non-resistant.

Make sure that the people in your life who bless you and increase the quality of your life are appreciated by letting them know. If you don’t tell them or acknowledge them in some way, you could be better because you just never know when the last time you have to recognize or express gratitude to them might be.

If you’re looking for love, find the source of true love which resides within you and love yourself with everything you’ve got. By being the love that you want, you will attract the love you desire.

Finally, understand that you are the author of your story, and as such, you can change the story at ay particular point in time. Any time you do something different you change your story, the story of others, and the future of the whole world.

So, if you want a do-over, today is the day. Right now. This moment. Do something different and change the world.

If the world is a game, fine. Let you be the game changer.

Did You Make Your Bed Today?

I’m not much of a bed-maker if no one’s looking. I figure, “What’s the point if no one’s there to appreciate the fruits of my labor?” Especially, if you’re like me, in between relationships, you might think that few minutes might be better spent doing something else in your preparation for the day ahead.

Sure, if there’s someone you’re sharing the bed with, or if you are having company and don’t want to be embarrassed by having an unmade bed, which might be perceived as an indication that you might not be as diligent as you’d like to be thought of, you might be more inclined to make the bed.

But when no one’s around and there isn’t anybody to see if you’ve made the bed, or not, what do you do?

Inspired by Arielle Ford (author of the wildly acclaimed, The Soulmate Secret), I began making my bed in the absence of a witness as an affirmation to the universe, that I was ready and willing to welcome the woman whom I would live out the rest of my dreams and days with.

I haven’t had anyone to keep track of my bed-making skills for years, still, I make my bed every day. I’ve since expanded my morning ritual to include my intention to do this thing with integrity as a bold statement of my intentions for the remainder of the day ahead, and my willingness to do the right thing no matter what the day may bring.

“Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.”

When you make your bed in the morning you send a powerful message to the universe expressing your explicit intention,

“I am starting this day with the intention to live a better life, to be open to all the good things that life has in store for me. I avail myself to in even in the smallest of ways to make the world a better place, and it starts right here. Right now, with my declaration in the action of making my bed, I affirm I am ready to do my part to change the world.”

A simple ritual, a prayer of intention, dignified by the inspired action of making your bed.

It is not uncommon for me to ask a perspective or new client about their daily bed-making routine. Why? Because it is a potential indicator of a person’s willingness to do the work necessary to influence their desired outcomes in life.

I agree with Admiral William H. McRaven’s 2014 commencement encouragement,

“If you want to change the world
start off by making your bed.”

If you’re making your bed every day, you’re in good company. A 2017 survey of the most successful, powerful, and wealthy people in America today reveals these people share a common trait: They start their days by making their beds.

Plus, after a long day of you putting forth your best efforts, effectively facing anything that may have attempted to slow your roll or interrupt your flow, when all is said and done, a nicely-made bed awaits you.

It is an unexpected joy that you might take for granted after a while, but if you’re like me, there are those days when you are pleasantly delighted after a busy day to be invited to enter the gates of the sweetest of dreams by a nicely made bed, even if you’re the only one who will appreciate it.

You’ve started and ended your day with a positive vibration and the best intentions to make the world a better place.

And the universe responds in kind. All this for making your bed in the morning.

If you want to make a difference, make your bed.

Did you make your bed today?

Your Highest and Best

I’ve been in the business of helping people achieve their highest and best since following high school. But what is your highest and best anyway? What does it mean to achieve your highest and best?

Your highest and best represents the state of being where you are in touch with and congruent with your authentic self. Knowing one’s self helps to make the impossible possible, which is the other basis of achieving your highest and best. While the first part, knowing yourself, facing and dealing with who you are, prepares you for the second part which is the achieving of potentials that may have seemed beyond your grasp previously.

The better equipped you are by getting in touch with your unique talents, skills, and special abilities, the more empowered you will be in attempting to take on challenges that will enable you to fulfill your life’s purpose, message, passion, and mission. Doing so is achieving your highest and best, enabling you to live a better life, your best life, and make the world a better place.

The work of helping someone achieve their highest and best is fascinating for me because quite often I have the privilege of being in the presence of people when they experience epiphanies. There is no greater satisfaction in my work.

So, what is the work that is done in helping someone achieve their highest and best? Well, it is unique to every person. It is not a one-size-fits-all fill-in-the-blanks-type approach to personal growth. It involves finding that harmonious sweet spot integrating the best (and worst) from your past, exorcising your demons and exercising your unique strengths and special abilities, resulting in an empowered, more evolved, expanded version of your self.

It’s a process of dealing with, rectifying and eliminating regrets from the past while carving out sacred space to fully engage in the now. In this sacred space, you are able to do the work of finding clarity. The more precise your clarity in the things of life, your purpose, message, passion, and mission, the more succinctly you can achieve your most incredible potentials.

Everything you have experienced in this life ‘til now has represented a sacred course of study qualifying you for your fulfilling your life’s purpose by proclaiming your unique message with passion which is part of your mission (over the course of our life, you could be called to a variety of missions).

The goal is to integrate all this into an organized approach to do all this with the least amount of struggle and with the greatest possibility of success.

And who does all this work? You.

Often people come to me and ask me to take on their projects and make their dreams come true because to them, that’s what I do (helping people achieve their highest and best) looks like, offering to pay me handsomely to do it. Nothing could be further from the truth. That is not my ministry.

In my line of work, I am not the hero. All I am doing is to help you achieve your highest and best. You. You do the work. All I am doing is supporting you, and helping you see and avoid potential pitfalls and act as your accountability partner. I am not the magician.

The real transformative magic is all the work of you. Your work determines your ability to achieve your highest and best.

This is your mission, should you decide to accept it, to achieve your highest and best, live a better life, your best life and to make the word a better place. This is you. It’s who you are. It’s what you do.

This is you. This is your life. It all comes down to this.

If you’re ready to make the empowered shift from where you are to where you want to be, this is the time to take charge of your life and make all your dreams come true.

How to Make a Contribution in Life

You want to make a contribution, have an impact on society, or change the world. When people are looking at their lives, looking for a sense of purpose and meaning, often this train of thought leads to thinking there must be something more, a way to leave a mark on this planet for good, before your time is through.

Some people start thinking about their impact early in age, while it doesn’t occur to others until later in life after they’ve realized that it’s turned out that their life didn’t have the meaning they thought it might, or turn out the way they had planned.

I work with people who are the movers and shakers, they are out there in the whirlwind of life striving to make a difference, every once and a while, I meet someone who is at this nexus where cognizance kicks in, revealing the façade of life, and this person decides to change their life, make a contribution, possibly even leave a legacy for future generations.

If you have come to this place in life, it can be somewhat confusing and overwhelming as you try to sort out the details of your life.

Keep in mind that many people arrive at this point in their life but few are able to change enough to separate themselves from the pack enough to have the opportunity to successfully have an impact or make a contribution to the world.

So, what must you do to be different enough to make a difference?

You must know, or discover, what you came to this planet to do. I believe everyone comes here with a unique purpose, message, passion and mission for your life. Of course, you can deny any of this has any validity and still make an impact, but you will find it’s a much easier going of it, if you allow yourself to begin to think outside the box.

Having this sense of meaning helps to keep you focused, keeps you on track and helps to keep you from being distracted from doing what you must do to accomplish that which you desire to do. It’s not easy to stay on the path to get you where you want to be, what with all the distractions of life clamoring for your attention. Simply being able to quickly review interruptions, and have the ability to quickly brush them away because they are not in alignment with your mission is an invaluable tool to possess.

You’re going to need to change. The kind of person you need to be is likely different from the person you are now. You will have different thought processes in order that will help to keep you from settling back into complacency or accepting your previous life of mediocrity.

As your perspective begins to shift and change, it helps to inspire and empower you to lead with heartfelt inspiration and integrity to be the difference you want to see in the world. You will get used to change, and continually do so, as you proceed down this path leading to your contribution.

You are going to need to reach out and connect with others who can assist in accomplishing your mission. If you’ve seen secluded or a lone wolf, it will mean getting out and allowing other people to play with you in your mission. You have to realize that you can’t do it alone (well, you could, but that’s the hard way) and you can help enrich the lives of others who are looking for meaning in their lives as you let them shine with their own natural talents, skills, abilities, and gifts. Allowing others to help is hugely beneficial and can be an effective way to get your message out, so, by all means, set aside your pride long enough to let people help you.

It will be helpful if you can adopt a forward-thinking or visionary point of view. To be able to use your imagination to see where you want to be, to create stops along the way, where you can pull over, check the gauges, review or revise your map and keep going will help enormously. Having a clear idea about where you’re going and where you want to go is an important key in getting you from here to there. Sure, it can be revised at any time, because things change as you gain more clarity about where you’re going as you progress on your journey.

Learn to let it go. If you want to see your dream come to fruition, you must release it as you invite others to participate with you. I’ve seen too many people with a great idea, afraid to tell others about it in fear that someone might steal it. It’s better to enthusiastically release it to the universe than to keep it locked up in a safe deposit box.

If you really want to make a difference, you will not only benefit from playing well with others but recognizing and celebrating their efforts, as well as the efforts of others also trying to make a contribution to society or the world, is a skill which can be learned. A little gratitude can go a long way. Note, this is in contrast to those who lead with an iron fist.

Keep your positive point of view and remember the Golden Rule; to treat others like you would want them to treat you. This will go a long way toward successfully completing your mission.

As you go along, you will notice your notoriety begin to build. You will notice that people are taking notice, listening to what you have to say, and you are growing, not only as a person but as an influencer.

Don’t allow yourself to be reduced to, or defined by, a single sound bite. Stay clear and positive, don’t allow nay sayers or others to draw you down to their level. Take the high road and be wary of haters and others who might like to try and thwart your plans along the way. Don’t let them get you riled up when they get in the way or try to confront you. Keep a cool, calm, demeanor and keep forging ahead, in love and light, for a better world.

Put the Sexy in Success

In the event that you’d like to make a contribution to your community to help make the world a better place, you might need to find ways to maximize your potential. You will need to find your source of motivation and learn to focus on what it is that you’d like to achieve.

Its fairly easy to imagine the endgame, because you pretty much know what you’d like your contribution to look like, but how do you get there from here? Especially with all the distractions that you face every day. You have a constant barrage of media, devices and the ongoing struggles of life to deal with. How could you ever find the time for the doingness necessary to get something done for the greater good?

First of all, your brain is preoccupied with the needs of your body, and will seek to get your needs satisfied first, and it doesn’t always have your best interests at heart. The struggle for survival, and the potential worrying about it, is one of its primary functions, followed by finding things that feel good, or avoid pain.

Oh, your mind means well, it knows that watching TV feels better than doing homework, a mocha tastes better than lemon water, shopping is more fun than exercising, interacting on social media is better than networking, cake tastes better than raw veggies, and YouTube videos are more entertaining than journaling.

That’s why it’s going to take a conscious effort, care and diligence to get you from where you are to where you want to be. How can you possibly take control of your body and mind stuck in the rapid flow of life’s torrential stream?

Your mind sees anything that resembles work as drudgery. It sees no value in working your day job, except that it is necessary for survival. It will allow you to do what you need to do, but is keenly aware of the approaching lunch breaks or the final tick of the clock indicating that this day is finally over.

You’re going to have to find ways to convince your mind that the things you want to accomplish are meaningful and important enough to make the sacrifices necessary to get some done. Otherwise, the things you want to do to serve the greater community are going to look like more work.

Put the Sexy in Success

What does your mind find gratifying? Entertainment, activities that make you feel good, decorating or finding beauty in your home or surroundings, getting admiration from the opposite sex, and being recognized for doing something good or meaningful, are probably on the top of your list.

Finding ways to connect what you want to accomplish to those things that already fire off those pleasurable synapses in your brain will persuade your mind to support what it is that you want to do.

Don’t allow what you must do to make it happen to look like work. Work is boring. Instead, find ways to make working toward your goal empowering, gorgeous, sexy and delicious. Know that doing the work that is necessary to get from here will give you a great sense of accomplishment, establishing your authority and recognition for your invaluable contribution.

An excellent tool you can use to bridge the gap between here and there is found in something that only we have as humans on this planet, and that is the ability to visualize anything we want using our imagination. For instance, if you were to imagine cutting a lemon in half and taking a big bite out of the center of that imaginary lemon, you’re probably going to find yourself salivating. But there is no lemon. It’s all in your mind. But your visualization of it made your body react as if it was happening in real life.

You can use this same technique to find motivation for accomplishing the necessary steps to achieve your goals and ultimately make the world a better place. Your mind is a powerful manifestation machine and its natural inclination to move away from what you don’t want and toward what makes you feel good, is a tool you can use for your benefit.

Using the power of your mind to visualize you doing the things you must do as being beautiful, sexy, and any other manifestation that makes you feel amazing, even orgasmic, can do the trick. If you can associate doing the things you need to do with the best, most amazing feelings you can imagine, will help motivate you and convince your mind that this is not work, at least not in the mundane, daily grind sense. No this is exciting and the rewards are incredible.

Our head can also wrap its mind around the idea of sacrificing for a period of time to achieve an excellent result later. Like dieting or working out at the gym three times a week (or more) to be more appealing to the opposite sex. You might not like it, but your mind might be willing to make the sacrifice in the interim to achieve the payoff later. As soon as you start to see the results (the extra attention), the easier it is to keep going.

So, you can do the same thing using the same donkey-and-carrot visualization and apply it to your efforts to make your contribution to the planet.

Develop a vision of you achieving your highest and best and see in your mind’s eye the impact having accomplished all that you want to do has had on the world. See and feel the gratitude of others you have blessed with your efforts. You, no doubt, can think of people who have made a significant contribution by doing something (even small but) significant that has had huge impact on society (like refusing to sit in the back of the bus), and they were recognized for making a difference.

See yourself as being recognized and remembered for your contribution.

When you start to sense feeling like whatever you’re doing to accomplish your goals is boring or feeling like work, find ways to connect the dots with the pleasure centers of your brain and make it as exhilarating as possible, and find and embrace the passion and joy inside as you achieve your highest and best and make the world a better place.

Spring Cleaning Your Life

It’s time to consider a bit of Spring cleaning. While looking around your current living environment about things you could do without, you might consider things tossing out a few things from your more personal environment, by taking a closer look inside yourself.

You might find it’s time to cut our when Spring cleaning your life, like

Eliminate Excess

Find ways to minimize your lifestyle, streamlining it for maximum effectiveness with less effort and maintenance. If you can choose less over more, you will enjoy a life that is more simple allowing you to experience more happiness, joy and peace along the way to achieving your highest and best. You will find that you can cut out a great deal of nonessential possessions, dress more practically and adapting an attitude of finding less to say, listening more, when you speak make it more meaningful, and you will find your audience more attentive as you focus more on your higher calling and less about the things of this world that might otherwise weight you down.

Throw Out Caring What Other People Think

If you are unique (and you are. There’s nobody, like you, who brings your unique set of skills, talents and message – told only the way you can tell it – to the world), then at times other people are not going to get you, and they might even be inspired to prevent you from achieving your highest and best, for a variety of reasons. You may never be good enough for anyone else, but your responsibility is to God. To Him (her, or whatever you see God as), you are royalty. You have the highest authority on your side. All the greatest gifts given and advancements made in history were primarily made by people, like you and me, who were willing to go against the grain for the greater good, regardless of what other people thought, or the preconceived ideas they held tight to. Every once and a while someone needs to shake things up. Are you that person?

Place Perfectionism Atop the Trash Heap

Give up the idea that you have to have such a high standard of performance to release something to others. If you are constantly inventing/reinventing, creating/recreating, writing/rewriting, editing and re-editing, you are preventing your contribution from being released to benefit others and also preventing yourself from the benefits of your giving your gift or message to the world. Perfection often based in a fear of failure, can be holding you back, preventing your taking action, and could be your worst enemy.

Discard Excuses

Maximize your effectiveness by taking full responsibility for your life and all the opportunities that present themselves to you and avoiding making excuses that prevent you from executing. It doesn’t matter where you’ve been or how you got here. Your worthiness can be eliminated from the equation because this is your God given birthright. So quit making excuses or nay saying yourself. Excuses are only rationalizations for your not taking action. Sure, life is a scary place, but you got this. So, go for it.

Dispose of Limitations

Not far off from excuses are self-imposed limitations or negative self-talk. You never have to be good enough and you will never be educated enough or qualified enough to meet your own expectations. You might be surprised that the world doesn’t really care about your qualifications as much as they need what you are holding back. Your ideas, your expertise, your perspective, your insight, your mater-of-factness, your openness and honesty. They are waiting, don’t let them (or yourself) down by letting limitations get in your way. If you feel like something is too much of a stretch for you that may be necessary to deploy our gift, have faith. Don’t let it stop you. If you keep moving forward with momentum, what you need will appear.

Chuck Your Need for Instant Gratification

Often the best things in life take time, require a process, or a variety of details or successive decisions and associated actions along the way to arrive at an expected conclusion. If you focus only on the ultimate goal and fail to see it appearing in your anticipated time frame, you are likely to abandon your goal prior to achieving it. You can instead like your expectations to the individual steps that can get you from where you are to where you want to be. While payoff may not feel as enthusiastic, find the joy and sense of pride in knowing that you are one step closer to what you really want. Stay steady on your path and you will get there. Keep in mind that your goal may change in shape and form as you are making your way to it, and allow it to shift as you approach it for the greater good.

Junk the Idea of Being Rinky Dink

Stop playing the game like a small-time amateur. It’s time to step up and take life seriously. It’s time to man up (or woman up) in order to make your greatest contribution to your community and the don’t let your impact be limited by your locale. You have a unique gift and message that you came to this world to share. It’s on you to stop letting you being satisfied with day-dreaming, fantasizing or treating your contribution as a hobby. This is your time to get serious and make a stand or statement, let your voice be heard and your blessing be realized.

Get Rid of the Need to Multi-task

Let go of the idea that you have to do everything, or that nothing will get done if you don’t do it: All of it. Be willing to ask for help and look for ways to outsource parts of the process that are less enjoyable. Don’t let your tendency to be all ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) about it, endlessly jumping into engaging every shiny object that comes along. The most successful and effective folks (while they can manage more than one project at a time) focus on one project until it gets to the point of maintenance, then can focus on another project that is waiting in the wings. Don’t allow yourself to be distracted by every new thing that comes along, because ti will be unlikely that you’ll be able to complete anything if you allow your attention to be diverted from current processes. Shorten your to-do list by focusing on the essential things you have to do and ditch everything else that only keeps you busy. Stay focused.

Cast Off the Bad Yes

You know the one: When you say, “Yes,” and make promises that do not represent your highest and best or support your ideals or goals. If you have a tendency to self sacrifice or give all you have to others, while watching your goals and dreams suffer and die, like some kind of martyr, now is the time to put an end to it. You are not only doing a disservice to those you are helping (Why? Because you’re not allowing them to flourish and grow. You are actually hindering their own ability to find and make their own way, as you’ve made them dependent on you.), but you are allowing others to prevent you from achieving your highest and best. You need time to focus on you and your ministry, start finding polite ways to say, “No.”

Ditch the Need to Be In Control

Certainly, you need to have a plan, but don’t be obsessed with controlling all of the minute details. You can’t possibly control everything. Allow the momentum and flow you’ve created with your intention and action to follow its own path. You might find that by releasing some (or more, if not all) of the control to your higher power, you will have a much easier and effective go of what it is that you’re trying to accomplish. Let things find their own way to fall into order as your keep pressing forward. Obstacles are not always opposition, sometimes they are the only way to lead you in a better direction. If something is not going the way you like, do not post up to fight against it. Instead look for a better way, and you will find an alternate door, window or path to follow and find yourself ultimately in a better position.

Jettison Toxic People

You know the ones: They suck the life, joy and resources out of you, leaving nothing left for you. They are unsupportive contrarians who could care less about you achieving your goals and ideals, and are often responsible for making you feel unworthy of the calling which beckons to you. It is also important to keep in mind that the frequency of your vibration is likely to adjust to the people whom you keep in close proximity. It’s time to eject the toxic people from your life, so that you can make room for the like-minded people who are ready, willing, able to support you and desire seeing you achieve your highest and best.

Reject the Media

Not just the news, but don’t allow your attention to be interrupted or yourself to be dissuaded by anything you see, hear or read in any media. Consider a media hiatus which includes all forms of media, including the television, Internet, social media… anything that might be bombarding you with negative energy. Avoid the temptation of these destructive forces that suck the time and life out or you, which could be thwarting your otherwise healthy pursuits.

Incinerate the Unhealthy Choices

You might find it’s time to let go of your attachment to activities that are not in the best interest of the maintenance of your body (AKA your temple of God). This is your vehicle for your performance and enjoyment of the journey you are on. Wouldn’t you enjoy the journey more, if your vehicle is in tip top shape? You’ve already discarded excuses, so start looking for ways you can eat better and find physical activities that lead to a more healthy lifestyle. We all could use a tune up.

Stop Looking for the Easy Way

You have to give up on the idea that what you want is simply going to fall into your lap, because that is never going to happen. Everything you could possibly desire (you only desire it because you don’t have it) cannot be realized without first taking action. It is highly unlikely (although not impossible because nothing is impossible) that you will win the Lottery without purchasing a ticket (if not a number of tickets in succession) first. You have heard stories of the instant, overnight success of others, but the truth is: Most of those stories are fiction. I don’t mean some are fiction and some are true and include all of the facts that contributed to the story as it was presented, I mean: None of those stories include all the facts necessary to tell the whole story, ‘ere they are all fiction. Does that mean there’s no hope? No. Good fortune always follows those who create it for themselves.

Is it possible for you to live the best life ever and have all your dreams come true? Yes, it’s all up to you.

Are you ready to take responsibility to do what it takes to have the life you want?

You can do it, and it’s not as hard as you might think, a little Spring cleaning will get you on your way, but you must move and keep moving toward what you want, and you will get there, if you don’t give up and keep going.

Be A Game Changer

I work with movers and shakers, people who have an intention to make a contribution to the world. They don’t just talk about it. They are willing to take massive action and do things that make a difference. If you’re one of these people you can be a game changer and make the world a better place.

People who engage and execute an intention to make a contribution leave a mark on the landscape of the world we live in and some of them have names that ring a bell in our conscious mind. There is a familiarity when we hear their names and we feel good about them when we hear them, names like Marie Curie, Johannes Gutenberg, Joan of Arc, Francis of Assisi, Albert Schweitzer, Leonardo da Vinci, Oskar Schindler, Maria Montessori, Tenzin Gyatso – the 14th Dalai Lama and Henry Dunant.

These are the kinds of people who don’t just talk about making the world a better place, they take action to make the world a better place. Sure, they each thought about making a difference, maybe even talked about it, but at some point they found the reason to move to action (even if it was outside the constraints of their personality type or style).

Your reason – why you want to see something happen or change – can motivate you enough to take action, even if it is counter-intuitive to your base personality type. If your why is strong enough, you are more motivated to do something about it.

Think about the names of people who had such a powerful why, that they would let nothing stand in their way or prevent them from taking action, even if against the odds. Names that come to mind are Thomas Edison, Diana, Princess of Wales, Paul the Apostle, Florence Nightingale, Thomas Jefferson, Mahatma Gandhi, Nikola Tesla, Helen Keller, Benjamin Franklin, and Alexander the Great.

Criminal Game Changing

Making a significant impact, being willing to make a stand and passionately do whatever it takes to see your results come to life, is criminal. Though it may not be a crime, you will need the basic components necessary to be found guilty of committing a crime: means, motive, and opportunity.

Means: You have the ability to do it.

Motive: You have the desire to do it (why).

Opportunity: There is a chance (circumstances that allow you to take action) you could do it.

People who have had the means, motive, and opportunity and actually take action are not necessarily successful, but they have taken the chance. They seized the opportunity, regardless of what obstacles were in the way. Did they risk failure? Certainly; and many of them did fail on their first (and/or subsequent) attempts, but their why (motive) was strong enough to push them through the tough times.

There has never been more opportunity for you to take action on that thing that you want to see come to fruition. Every day, we see someone with a computer or cell phone impact the world by taking a chance when the opportunity presents itself. People take action every day, but only the chance taken at the right time ad place goes viral. Even so, it would have never happened had someone not taken the chance.

If you can take action when you have the means, motive, and opportunity, you could be among the people who have become the heroes who inspire us to also make a difference.

You can be a game changer, like Abraham Lincoln, Mother Teresa, Louis Pasteur, Martin Luther King, Jr., Eleanor Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, Oprah Winfrey, or (INSERT YOUR NAME HERE).

Isn’t now the time for you to take action?

You can do it. You want it.

You can do it. Do it.
