Who’s your best friend? If it’s your partner, you’re in love.
How do you know you love someone?
You feel ecstatic as if you took a hit of drugs because, in essence, you have. When you’re in love the same hormones are released just as when you get high on cocaine.
Being in love boosts your immune system making your more resistant to disease and is a natural pain reliever. Less pain and faster recovery from aches and pains. That’s the healing power of love at work.
Increased eye contact indicates you’re in love. It’s as if you’re looking at your partner’s soul and connecting with it, as well as seeing your own reflection in his or her eyes.
Being in love makes you more self-confident, willing to take risks, and try new things with and for your partner, or for the growth and benefit of your relationship together.
When your partner is happy, you are just as happy for your partner. His or her happiness makes you feel happy.
True love can also introduce a degree of stress due to your desire to be the best you can be and to find ways to demonstrate expressions of your love, dependability, trustworthiness, and support, which increases cortisol levels. You’re going to feel a little more anxious and stressful about “doing the right thing” and “being there” for your partner.
When you’re in love, you’re likely to do just about anything for your partner.
You look forward to your shared time together as the best part of your day.
What’s the first thing you think about in the morning? If this happens at night, and whenever something good happens, your partner is the first person you want to tell, and when something bad happens, this is also the person you look to for help, you can thank your brain for releasing phenylethylamine because you’re in love.
If you’re in the habit of putting the needs and priorities of your partner before your own, you’re in love.
When you think about your plans for the future, you see your partner’s participation of predominant importance. You just expect him or her to be there.
Public displays of affection (PDA) are predominant. You’re not afraid to let you love be seen by others.
Your partner’s shortcomings are adorable. Their quirkiness which might seem odd when you’re getting to know someone are those special qualities that endear you, even more, when you’re in love.
Your partner inspires you to be the best version of yourself. You’re interested in personal growth and want to make a contribution in honor of how your partner makes you feel about putting your best foot forward. You want to be and do better.
True love is unconditional. That means you feel like, “I love you no matter what.” No matter what your partner does, whatever challenges you or your partner might face, you love your partner even more. Your love does not waver and is not affected by situations or circumstances.
It’s Christmas and I celebrate it. My friends and family celebrates, each one a little differently than the other. Yet, everyone gets the idea.
I find it interesting that people find the most interesting ways to divide themselves from other people when it would make more sense to allow us all just “to be” and bless those who don’t see things the way you do.
Granted, some people don’t believe in, celebrate, or condone the idea of Christmas… and who cares? I celebrate your right to believe anything you want.
Second, only to New Years, Christmas is the most celebrated holiday in the world. And thankfully, this “religious” holiday has become so watered down that anyone can celebrate it. Even though it was originally a Christian holiday to celebrate the birth of Jesus, now it represents the advancement of love and peace among all peoples. An idea of which Jesus could be proud of having been promoted by His birthday.
While the majority of us find it easy to wrap our heads around this idea of Jesus’ birthday being a joyous, love-filled celebration of life and the bright future which awaits us all as we unite in harmony for a better world, some hardcore Christians have a problem with non-cardholding-members joining in their holiday celebration.
Now, here’s where it gets a little dicey. Even among Christians (because there’s so many division amongst them), they can’t agree on a way to celebrate Christmas as a whole. Many Christian factions are divided on their celebration of the Christmas holiday, and some refuse to participate at all due to it’s commercialism, or basis in paganism.
Christmas, the whole idea of it represents an evolutionary approach to advancing harmony among all peoples, spreading love and peace. December 25th was originally a Roman holiday to celebrate the birth of the sun, later the Catholic Church (Pope Julius I) adopted this day to celebrate the birth of Jesus, “The Son of God.”
As Christianity expanded across the globe and spread to all nations, unique characteristics were gathered along the way and included into the celebration of Christmas. Christmas evolved to invite anyone and everyone to be honored and to celebrate the December 25th holiday in their own way.
Yes, dragging a tree into the house to mark winter’s halfway point was a pagan tradition, and this idea evolved into the decorated Christmas tree which sets some staunch Christians ablaze with anti-paganism fury. Nonetheless, there is nothing new under the sun, and we all adopt ideas from the past and repurpose them into modern ideologies.
Now, you can fight for the idea of pure thought, uninfluenced by any preconceived thought (which is an exciting thought in itself, I’ll admit) and stand strong, like a marker carved in stone, unmovable, unchanging, in honor of ancient ideals or philosophies, dedicated to preserve the past and defend it, even if it means disrespecting, debating with, or killing anyone who dares to not align themselves with your belief(s).
If that’s you, don’t go reaching for your sniper rifle or loading your vehicle with bombs and think about tracking me down just yet, please hear me out…
Let’s say you believe the way you do, and I believe the way I do and let’s assume there are some differences, no matter what thought systems we’re talking about, religious or otherwise.
And let’s think about how you might like to have people think like you do. Heck, I might even like people to think the way I do. Now, we could kill all the people who don’t believe the way we do, then we win. But I think that we can agree that we’ve seen this approach in the past (or even recently) and can rationalize that this is not really a sustainable model.
On the other hand, we can lovingly turn our efforts into including as many people as possible to play in our game in their own way to make the world a better place, where we all can live in harmony, promoting love and peace.
On one hand, we have “separation” which promotes fear and death and is not sustainable. On the other hand, inclusion, which promotes love which is the energy which gives life, new life, expanding life.
All that to say, “I love Jesus,” and am proud to call myself a Christian but I would never impose my belief upon another person. I love the idea that the world is made of different people all with different ideas and contributions to make and gift to the world. Far be it from me to even entertain the thought for a moment, that I might not be able to learn something from someone else, anyone else.
Jesus is my greatest hero, and I have other heroes besides, and none of us has the right to dictate to another person whom we regard as our heroes. Regardless, even if I was not a Christian, I think I would celebrate Christmas because of the idea of Christmas, as it is celebrated among society en masse, is a microcosm of evolving and expanding life on planet earth.
I get excited about the very thought of Christmas, how it makes people who embrace the holiday feel special, full of love, and desire to do good things for family, friends, other people, and the world at large. A fantasy? Maybe, but what a thing to aspire to; peace on earth and goodwill to all men. That is a dream, that I believe, can one day come true.
You can join me in celebration of that on December 25th, and/or every day, for that matter.
And if you’re among those who are finding the holidays a struggle, when it seems so very hard, and it appears that there is no love for you; there is.
There is great love for you, now, and even more on the way.
Unfortunately, this is the time of year when many people are feeling lost, lonely, at their very worst, and my thoughts and heart are with you. In fact, my friends and I are sending love to you, right now. You might even consider helping us in sending love to the world while getting a little more for yourself in the process, with no strings attached.
If you search inside yourself, you can find the love within you, we are sending you more. We know you can make it, and you have great things to do ahead.
A better life awaits you, your best life, and we need you to help make the world a better place.
There are amazing things in store for you in the coming year.
You are the most amazing person I’ve never met. You have an incredible story of life and love that has me and others sitting on the edge of our seats, just waiting to see what’s going to happen next. If your life were a book, it would be an encompassing page-turner. If a film, we are in awe of the life you’ve lived until this moment, and we are watching, waiting, and cheering you on from the aisles, knowing that you are going to let your heroic virtues envelop you, enabling you to rise and step into the fullness of your power and purpose.
You and your story are so encouraging and enlightening. You are an inspiration to all, and we know that as you embrace all that you are, it gives us all hope that we can do the same, no matter what challenges or obstacles we might face in life. You are our hero. But,
What if you’re not feeling it?
What if you’re at one of those uncomfortable (possibly most difficult) chapters in your life? You know you’ve come to this planet with a divine purpose, message, passion, and mission. You know you are called to live a better life, your best life, and to make the world a better place, but right now, from this scene of your life, you just cannot see it. It just seems like it’s just not possible from here.
Do not fear, for love is with you; do not be dismayed, for you are love.
Know You Are Loved
You are a product of the creator of all life on this planet. Everything that is tangible in this life is held together in perfect balance by the energy of pure love. Just the fact that you are here, reading these words if proof that you are loved and that your life has tremendous value.
Feel the Loving Embrace
If you would close your eyes and see from your heart, you could see the love all around you, swirling in perfect harmony in and through all things. If you are not feeling it from within, you can just reach out and call it to you, and wrap yourself in a thick blanket of pure love energy.
You can feel its warmth and you feel safe and secure wrapped in love’s loving embrace.
No Matter What’s Happening
You can be surrounded by chaos and not feeling emotionally stable. You might be frightened, unworthy, sad, lonely, even helpless, yet you are loved. You are love. And when you’re just not feeling it, all you have to do is to close your eyes and reach out and grab it.
Buried deep within your physical heart is a love generator which emits a powerful forcefield. As long as you heart beats, you can reach out and tune in to the love all around you. You can attune your built-in love generator with the love energy which surrounds and permeates all things and recharge your love energy from the unlimited source.
You Are Love
When you turn on your love generator and connect to the vast love energy, you have the unlimited supply of flowing through your body. You become love; a powerful love machine empowered to send this love to anyone or anything which comes to mind, just by the power of your thought.
Send Love to the World
Holding a visual image of someone or something in your mind and sending love to them delivers an instantaneous surge of love to that person, place, or thing. You can do this because you are love. Try a little sending love to the world.
Love’s Prayer for You
I pray you know you are loved.
You feel the love holding you in loving embrace.
No matter what is happening in life at this moment, know you are loved.
You are love.
Share a little love with the world if only from your heart in thought.
While there is a high degree of focus on chemistry and compatibility in relationships these days, the work I do with couples seems to support the idea that the most unlikely matched couples can count their relationships among the most successful and long-standing, deepest loves by integrating basic characteristics into the existing relationship. This hugely supports the Love is a Choice concept.
First of all, if you’re going to have a successful relationship, you must be willing to set aside your “what’s in it for me” mentality. Your relationship needs to be based on mutual respect, support, compassion, and a sincere desire to grow and evolve yourself as you love your partner and augment your partner’s work to achieve his or her highest and best. If this level of love and support is reciprocal, your love will grow immensely in concert with one another, and you both will be able to share the best things this life has to offer together.
Your relationship moves from a me-based to a we-based foundation.
In a we-based relationship, you give more of what you desire to get what you want. It’s more about the giving, and the receiving is a natural result of your selfless benevolence and generosity.
When you first notice incongruency in your relationship, recognizing that something is making you feel bad about your partner, first look within yourself. Ask yourself, “What could this have to do with me?” If you can think objectively, searching deep within, you may discover what you are feeling is in reaction to something unresolved within you, or alternatively, you are more the source of your discontent than your partner by trying to impose unnecessary judgment of restrictions based on life experiences from your past.
In this respect, in a real relationship, your partner is a mirror, reflecting yourself back to you, enabling you to see glimpses of the deep work that might be part of your personal growth and evolution waiting to be unveiled and dealt with. This should be your first thought when sensing discord because, in an enlightened relationship, your partner would never seek to make you feel bad. His or her desire is only to completely love and support you.
Growth necessitates change, so don’t be surprised when you look back at the beginnings of your relationship and think about how your partner is not the same person you started this journey with. One would hope not. The changes brought about by your continued growth and change within the relationship should be cause for celebration, with the hope or expectation that tomorrow and the days and years that follow will lead to even more growth and change increasing life energy and mutual expansion.
Without growth and change, a relationship goes stagnant and is unsustainable.
Living in the now is an important key component in the most successful relationships. As in all areas of life, there will be ups and downs, mistakes will be made, challenges will arise, and unexpected circumstances will visit the relationship. As quickly as possible, retaining the wisdom from the experience, abandoning the past, and living in the present moment, is a huge factor in the most successful relationships. And for God’s sake, do not hold a grudge against your partner. Repressed dissention and/or guilt will drain the energy from your love. Left to spread, like a cancer, will lead to love’s death.
Like love, happiness is also a choice. Make opportunities to include joyous time that you spend together as a couple. Don’t resign yourself to being so serious that you do not allow time for fun. Find ways to incorporate laughter and joy into your relationship to help raise your love vibration.
When facing opposition, remember there is no right or wrong, as, in all things in life, there is balance. Your partner is entitled to his or her opinion, and remember that nothing in this relationship is written in stone. Something that is said, felt, or believed today is always subject to new information, seeing something from a different perspective, and/or personal growth. So, let it be and agree to disagree for the moment. Don’t let the differences come between you, rather celebrate your differences in the now, and wait to see what is birthed from the process.
If whatever you focus your attention on grows (and it does) then look for the good things in your relationship and focus your attention on these things. How can you celebrate all your partner brings to the relationship? Look for opportunities to express your affection, appreciation, and gratitude to your partner and remember to make time to communicate these things intimately to your partner one-on-one.
Be open and honest with your partner and be courageous enough to express your needs and concerns along the way in a safe and sane way, while allowing your partner the same sacred space for healthy communication along the way. Every couple will encounter rough spots, and when you do, do not let them come between you. Use them for constructive, creative forms of expression, and don’t take it personally if your partner needs to blow off some steam. Be prepared for it, allow it to happen, then after things calm down, revisit it and see if together you both can make some sense of it.
Love represents the most powerful energy in the universe. It is always there, waiting for you to access it and apply it, first to yourself, your relationships, then the world.
You have a very exciting love-filled joyous life ahead.
After the thanksgiving festivities are over, and the Black Friday mayhem has begun, many of us are left with that warm, fuzzy feeling of having spent precious moments with the people we love. Bust as we all know, even after the event has come and gone there are always Thanksgiving leftovers.
Not just the goodies piled up in the fridge as late-night snacks, or foods to be repurposed for lunch meals or TV dinners, but the most precious leftovers of all, the memories of spending time with loved ones which welcomes a cascade of even more nostalgic reminders of love’s power and infinite endurance.
This year, I was so blessed to spend the holiday with my people, especially my children, Nathanial, Tabitha, and Jaycie and their families. And, OMG, could anyone have known that EJ and Tim (and all the others who helped in meal prep) would be able to create the most heavenly vegan Thanksgiving meal-spread of all (my favorite was the brussels sprout flavor-popping culinary delights). Family-time, like this, is precious and priceless, and it feels your heart with much love which lasts for long after Thanksgiving Day has come and gone; Thanksgiving leftovers.
You feel the combination of the love and the gratitude and you might like to share some of that amazing energy with someone less fortunate. But this, these precious moments, are your prized possessions and may not be embraced with as much tender honor as you might bestow on these times. Far better to share love with others from an infinite source.
You have the right idea, about sharing love with others who may not have had the opportunity to have an experience like yours, and may be feeling desolate, alone, totally lost and without hope. Rather than share my Thanksgiving leftovers with those who could use some love during the holidays, I prefer sending love to the world from the infinite source of all life and love.
So overwhelmed with feeling so full of love and blessedness that while others were fighting over sale items on Black Friday, I took a long (very long) leisurely walk via a nature trek on one of the most amazing, moderate winter evenings in the Pacific Northwest, and spent almost the entire time sending love to the world.
The beauty of sending love to the world via the infinite source is that it does not deplete any of your own love resources and if you do it right… (drum roll…) it ramps up your own love vibration exponentially. Wa-hoo! (If you could only imagine how I feel, right now… so far above Cloud Nine!)
Now, imagine if you felt like you had no love to share. None. Even the thought of love is like staring into a black vacuum, no feeling, no joy, nothing.
Here comes the good part.
Let’s say, there is no love in you, but you still might like to wish love could be apparent and felt by others, even if you, yourself, could not imagine having any love to share. You, too, could try sending love to the world.
By sending love to the world from an infinite source (such as via the method I walk you through in my Sending Love to the World guided meditation) you become a conduit for love. The love comes down and flows through you as you shower this infinite love over your family, friends, neighbors, community, town, state, country, and the whole world. You cannot conduct this exercise without realizing the residual benefits from doing so.
First, and foremost, you are no longer loveless. You cannot send love to the world without feeling some love leftovers. This residual loveliness is yours to keep. It is your reward for taking a few minutes out of your life to send love to others who may desperately need it. But there’s more…
The act of sending love to the world ramps up your immune system and promotes inner healing (not just psychological, but physiological, also) for up to eight hours. Plus, you feel better and every time you send love to the world, you add exponential time to your life and reverse the process of aging.
Who wouldn’t want to receive love, experience self-healing, feel better, be younger, and live longer?
Taking a few minutes out for Sending love to the world is a small price to pay for all that.
Love is all there is. Everything else is illusionary lights, smoke, mirrors, bells, and whistles. The truth is it is God’s intention for there to only be love, a harmonious celebration of life and peace on earth. This is why we are here, to find and experience all the love, life, and peace that is waiting for out discovery and joyous celebration thereof.
On the other hand, we share the planet with a variety of individuals, all with their own experiences, perceptions, definitions, beliefs, and ideals, all purporting their own agendas, some willing to use force, even kill others or die themselves in defense of their perspective.
What we fail to see in every person, every thing, every disaster, every circumstance, situation or challenge, there exists a state of perfection. Inside every sick and dying person is a healthy vibrant person full of vitality and love in all of his or perfection in every way. Granted, you may not be able to see it from your perspective because, after all, we all inhabit bodies and are (somewhat) limited to what we can experience with our five senses and rationalize with our finite mind.
Knowing that there is more to life than meets the eye (and/or the other four senses) enables you, if you dare, to see things from a higher perspective; seeing the beauty, magnificence and divine nature of all things. Though we are not able to see these things clearly due to our varying state(s) of consciousness or expansion, there is a knowingness within that everything is in divine order.
Through it all, our calling remains clearly (if you can imagine) to experience and be love, to celebrate life in harmony with all mankind and creation, as well as having peace on earth.
If love is all there is, and everything else is illusionary lights, smoke, mirrors, bells, and whistles, then God’s perfect design and will prevail, regardless of what it looks like on the surface.
While the base vibration of humanity is rising. Humanity’s base vibration is still basically low, rooted in fear, though it is raising in love. This vibration continues to rise as more and more of us are able to see this life through the eyes of love and continue to grow, expand and evolve into higher versions of ourselves.
Even so, our base vibration, representing the majority of people with whom we share the planet, make our default setting for gathering and processing data search for what’s wrong with the world. Then we attempt to smash, ridicule, or fix that thing which we have determined is bad, cruel, or in conflict with our ego-centered desire to see a thing manifest in a certain way.
Invariably, we who are in human form, find that which we seek. If you look for the bad things in the world you find them, and if nothing exists that was bad (and it doesn’t) then we will find a way to create it, so that we have something to focus on which is negative. This is our default setting.
Alternatively, you may choose to shift your focus from fear (your default setting, which most of us have been programmed to do since birth) or seeking to find what’s wrong with the world, to love and seeking all the things that are right, even spectacularly breathtaking, in the world at any point in time.
Using scientific method and personal assertions we find and disseminate our findings to influence others to align with our point of view, whether it is based on negativity or positivity.
Where you resonate in your life, what you focus your attention on and feel is amplified and sent out to the world, proliferating the frequency which you resonate with while engaged in thought. If you are feeling bad about something you believe to be bad with a degree of intensity, this vibratory frequency is multiplied exponentially. Therefore, the more you feel good, or bad, the more your experience affects the world.
It hardly makes sense to focus on anything bad. Mother Teresa understood this concept when she said, “I was once asked why I don’t participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I’ll be there.” She knew the secret to focusing her attention on that which is good, not on what is wrong. By doing so, she was able to influence the world in a positive way, staying true to her sacred calling and not allowing herself to be distracted by that which was undesirable.
You, like Mother Teresa, could be surrounded by pain and suffering yet positively focused on being the proactive solution.
To see things through the eyes of God is to see everything in the light of love, while to look at things through the eyes of men is to filter your sight by the veil of human existence and fear.
Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to experience this paradigm shift from fear to love and to be a powerful generator for promoting love’s good in all things. Your positive attention, actions, and energy create a viral effect of spreading love, like a sacred virus throughout the land.
It starts with you. The one. You are the one being called into this sacred service.
Let today be the day you chose to, as Gandhi challenged, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
Starting with you and your household, make the world a better place by focusing your attention on all that is good, and when your senses become aware of something not good, look for the good in it and you will find it, or see and/or be the solution.
The new world of love, joyous celebration and peace starts within you.
Love is something that we all seek in many forms. Even if you thought that you didn’t want love, if you look at any desire you have for a person, place, thing, or ideal, chances are, beneath it all is love, the longing to love or be loved.
Love permeates all things and as elusive as it might appear, it is always there for you in unlimited volume and scope. Love is so pervasive it is hard to comprehend. Yet, we attempt to define it and put it in our cozy little boxes, but it is for more than you could ever conceive of.
Primal attempts to define love were based on feelings. If two people cared for each other more than they did other people, this was the definition of love.
The love between two people led to a pledging of love one for the other before family and friends. This couple was considered to be married.
The concept of marriage was promptly adopted and promoted by the church, and now we have the sacred bond of marriage.
Before science was a highly thought of concept, people were more likely to believe in magic and to them love appeared to be a magical spell that would overcome an otherwise mostly rational person, turning them into someone who might sacrifice all for the love of another. A cherub with a bow and arrow was blamed for the spell, his name was Cupid.
Courtship is the idea that represents a person who becomes enamored of another then exercises a series of socially accepted rituals to profess one’s affection for the other person in the hope of winning his or her heart.
Love is also considered a passionate sexual bond that exists between two people.
Upon this foundation, we have built revised concepts of love, such as the proliferation of the idea of the sacredness of marriage and its move from religious control to the government (which was a highly profitable move, indeed), though there is a waning of the acceptance of the marriage ideal in the current generation.
Prior to governmental control and profiteering of marriage, divorce was rarely an option. Since the introduction of legally sanctioned divorce and annulment, marriage has become an incredible financial resource for the powers that be.
Modern technology has greatly affected the courtship rituals as it has expanded with the use of mobile devices and social networking. Nonetheless, even though it has changed to adapt to the times, the courtship rituals have survived throughout the ages.
There is the Hollywood definition of love, then there is the elevated form or love that is powerfully manifest at a higher level. If you want to aspire to loving at the next level, this higher concept of love is awaiting your arrival.
This higher level of love is one of the most powerful forces in the universe, and you are born with access to it, but being able to connect to and utilize it, is one of the best-kept secrets of all time; this is no accident. Society and the powers that be do not want you to know that you have access to such a powerful resource. You are much easier to manage and control if you can be kept unaware of such a powerful resource.
When you tap into the next level of love, you find yourself motivated and empowered to want to give and achieve more than you have ever imagined prior to tapping into love’s higher vibration.
This is the lever that opens the gates releasing the power of love into your life. In this vibrational frequency, you can see your dreams coming closer as all the best things start appearing and you feel a wide range of amazing possibilities coming your way.
Even though true love encompasses so much more than romantic love, being enveloped in love’s highest frequency, spills over into and permeating your romantic relationships allowing you to achieve new heights of romantic love, more incredible than ever possible at lower vibrations.
This new awareness of love and its power is revealed through the most intimate love you will ever know, that is the love of you for yourself. This sounds selfish, at first, but once you’ve experienced loving the only person who knows every most intimate detail of your life and will never, ever, leave you, you really don’t know what true love is. It is from this next level of love, that all other loves and their possibilities flow.
Here’s a glimpse of what you can expect when you’re loving yourself with the next level of love:
You are no longer critical of yourself. When you love yourself, you love you for who and what you are without judgment, much like the love you might have for a baby; if the baby you love messes his diaper, you think, “Bless her little heart, she made a cute little poopy.” Or if she breaks your favorite vase, you say, “You silly little thing, that was just an accident. That one was old, it was time for mommy to get a new one anyway.” When you really love yourself, you can’t do anything wrong. Certainly, life happens, and you may not always be on your best behavior or do exactly the right thing at the right time, but it’s okay. You cut yourself some slack (maybe a lot of slack) because you love yourself so much, like that baby.
Negative thoughts fade away. When you’re truly loving yourself, you don’t bother yourself with the barrage of negative vibrations. You are no longer attracted to negative news, fantastic stories of pain and suffering, horror stories, or incredulous drama. The fear of it all holds no value for you any longer. You are no longer afraid of the unknown because love is the superior power that truly conquers all else. In the state of true love, you are likely to think of ways you can change the world, rather than to be content with just complaining about it.
Fear no longer is the main vibration controlling your thoughts and your life. Powered with love you are not afraid of challenges or potential failure because you know you will always come away from any conflict or situation better than when you first encountered the circumstance.
You’re more likely to look at the bright side of things, and as you get more accustomed to this love-inspired positive outlook, positive resolutions are far more the norm than not. You will also notice, when you need a helping hand, one appears from even the most unlikely sources.
The Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” (Jesus’ sermon on the mount, Matthew 7:12) applies to you. You treat yourself like you would like others to treat you. You’re your own best friend. As you become more aware of your best qualities, embracing them and finding new ways to express yourself, your gifts and special abilities, others begin to see a new sheen, a glow about you which is clearly apparent as your countenance changes, empowering your new love-fueled life. You start sharing more of your love-infused self with others.
You’re finding the goodness in all things and have a heart filled full of gratitude for all life’s blessings. Even the things in life that may not have been perceived as the best, you now see from a different perspective, allowing you to see through the eyes of love, where everything is blessed and serves you in your highest and best.
You love your reflection in the mirror. The more you love yourself, the more you love your reflection in the mirror, and all that it represents a full life, and one being lived for its maximum potential. This is the reflection of someone who spreads love wherever they go.
The next level of love is unconditional love, that kind of love that says, “I love you no matter what.” It may be a far cry from where you are today, but you can feel it tugging on your heart strings. It desires to be released and reveal to you the love that was always there but never allowed to see the light of day.
There is no one else like you in the world who can do what you can do the way that you can do it. Dare to approach the next level of love and be the love that the world so desperately needs.
If you’re like me, even though I was raised in a time and atmosphere which promoted love heavily, there was still the propulsion of hate; hating him or her, hating this or that, hating “the man,” the establishment or the government.
Can hate and love co-exist?
Well, I think it can, but is that really our highest and best? Love is one of the highest vibrations, hate, on the other hand, resides among the lower rungs of the emotional ladder.
Love embraces, as hate pushes away. Love creates an atmosphere of caring, sharing and community, while hate promotes dissension and isolation.
What causes us to go to the place where hate resides?
I think initially, we start with anger, as we are distraught about not being respected for who we are, what we think or believe. When we see or hear about someone doing something we don’t like. When we are disrespected, or our ideas, thoughts or beliefs are not honored and discarded, we are selfishly appalled and angry about either not being heard, or witnessing some perceived criminal act. The refusal of someone to try to see a thing from our point of view, or act in a way which we respectfully conduct ourselves takes us to that angry place.
When this is met with fear of asserting our beliefs or standing up for ourselves (fear from punishment, lack of reward, loss of income, liberty, wellness, or life) we are resentful and angry. Left to itself, unexpressed anger about an injustice or disrespect can fuel the fire and lead to hate.
If we are empowered to express our disapproval in a manner which is respected, then we are less likely to allow the discomfort of the emotion to turn into hate. Once the pressure is relieved and we feel as though we’ve been heard, the emotional pain dissipates.
When we are not heard or boldly disrespected, our base instincts take us over and ready for war, to fight the self righteous battle for our right to be heard. This battle starts in the mind and may find a way to be expressed in the real world and can lead to outward expressions of havoc, protest, damaging physical property, physical abuse or murder.
Then there are the “Goody-goodies” out there proclaiming that we should, “love your enemies,” which is a far cry from any intuitive reaction to the feelings you may be experiencing at the time.
But there is a way to trade your hate for love, if you’re willing to look at things from a different perspective.
For instance, I can’t speak for you, but in my life, I have experienced a number of disappointments and oppression. I’ve been greatly disrespected, a victim of crimes, and been disrespected by people in authority, which had left me angry and face-to-face with hate in my heart. On the one hand, I have been there.
On the other hand, when I look back at all the injustices that justified the anger and hate that I endured in those most desperate of times, life had something far greater in store for me. I found that as I dealt with the pain of rejection, the anger and subsequent hate, and found ways to come to personal resolution, there was something so much better waiting for me on the other side of the pain, but I couldn’t see it. I was blinded by the pain.
From my current perspective, I can see that all those things that stressed me out so much, and caused me to lose myself and all my senses, were actually keys that unlocked doors leading to something so much better. I can see, now, that had I not gone through the pain of separation or humiliation, I would have never been at the right place in the right time to experience what life had in store for me.
If you can wrap your head around that idea, like I did, you can start to imagine that people or circumstances that you fight against, the things that make you angry and want to fight, may just be life trying to point you in another direction.
So, when the hair starts to stand up on the back of my neck, and I start to feel disrespected (even though I may be overcome by emotion or lose myself in the moment), I start to look around as soon as I am able to gain enough composure.
From this perspective you can begin to understand that this is not my enemy at all, while the intention of the adversary may actually be to do me harm, life has something far greater waiting in the wings.
And you can get to what is good, beautiful, loving and amazing in less time by not fighting the battle, which is only necessary in your own ignorance. Now, I am less apt to engage in the battle, and more apt to start looking for what life has in store for me, at the get-go.
So, you can love your enemy, because he/she or the circumstance is not an evil injustice, but life (or what I refer to as God) doing whatever it takes to get you back on the track to your highest and best. The painful experience of anger, hate and the ensuing battle, is only necessary, if you’re refusing to listen.
Instead or reaching for your weapons, think about listening to that still small voice, and look around…
Something so much better is waiting for you.
You are love’s alchemist. You can turn hate into love, if you choose to do so.
So bless your adversary, be thankful and express your gratitude and love for getting your attention, and blessing you with a better way, leading to greater support, love and charity.
There is a great love growing in you, and you will be given opportunities to express it, and you will.
Love is good; so good, in fact, that nothing truly satisfies nor is anything more long-lasting that love and its effects. Fanning the flame of love in life leads to a life that vibrates at such a high vibration that it attracts, even more, love into the life of the lover.
Although, we must establish that we’re talking about love in its highest form, not as the lower version of itself associated with sex and romance, but the higher expression of love for the world and mankind, which can overflow into romantic love if you’re maintaining your vibration at this higher level.
If you are one of these highly vibrating loving individuals, those in your presence and the community surrounding you are blessed to have you present. Not to mention the benefits you will enjoy from living a life of love.
Not only are you enjoying a more positive life and lifestyle, but your body gets the benefit of these higher vibrations which enhances your immune system and helps the body to operate more efficiently. These individuals look younger and live longer, more productive lives, an enjoying more satisfaction and happiness.
These life lovers are often found exposing themselves to and embracing the ideals behind more positive trains of thought. They tend to be more supportive, ambitious and optimistic.
These are the folks who have heart and minds filled with love and all the good things this life has to offer.
So, how can you join the wave of people who are embracing this lifestyle of love and life?
You can start with your head and your heart will follow. Start finding books, audios, videos, anything you can, full of the message of love and all the good things this life has to offer. Be willing to silence that sarcastic inner voice that would seek to destroy any good thing that might be on its way to you.
Limit the negative media and influence for a while, just cease to engage with it at all, if you can, as you expose yourself to more inspirational people, messages, ideals, and mindsets.
Therefore, you will be filled with good thoughts that inspire you. You also have a chance to absorb good vibrations transmitted if you find yourself amongst inspirational people.
Another incredible benefit of embracing a life of love is that you have more resources available to you for handling issues that arise or unexpected circumstances that would otherwise catch you by surprise of derailing you altogether.
You are more likely more resilient and capable of keeping your head up and continue to make your stand for what you believe in rather sink, succumb to compromise, or self-martyrdom.
And as you are able to wrap your mind around the idea of love, loving and your heart overflow with love, you gain the ability to see through the eyes of love. With these eyes, the eyes of love, you can see people not as other people do, or like you might have seen them before. You see them and their relationship with love, which might be lacking. This also gives you insights to other people and how the act or react with life. You can remember when you used to do the same thing.
Love makes you more empathetic to others who are not able to even conceive of the idea of living in love’s vibration.
You will also have a higher appreciation for the love that others are able to give, in the only ways they know how to, endearing you more to family members and others who reach out in love, in the best ways that they can.
It gets a little distorted when you incorporate the love of another in a romantic relationship. Of course, you know that you can’t love someone else unless you love yourself first. Even so, if you thought you had a high level of self-love nailed down, then it would stand to reason that loving someone else should come easily. Right?
Well, that’s where it takes a little more specialization in your loving life, experience and integrating your love, romantically shared with another person.
That’s why we suggest considering an event, like the Awakening to True Love Workshop, to help smooth out some of those rough edges and paving the way for two becoming one, without sacrificing and maintaining your independence at the same time.
It’s a delicate balance, but it pays off a hundredfold by taking your love to places you’d never thought possible.
